weekend inspiration: basicgrey
Donna has featured BasicGrey's Sultry range of products in this 'art'-inspired layout. It is a simple design with few embellishments, yet has more than enough 'going on' to engage the viewer. Donna loves that BasicGrey's Chip Stickers provide her with a time and cost-effective way of producing eye-catching layouts without an enormous amount of cutting and pasting.
Donna pulled this layout from one of her older albums to demonstrate just how versatile and relevant BasicGrey's products have always, and continue, to be! It is one her favourite layouts incorporating a simple design with a gorgeous patterned paper foundation and a few tags and metal frame embellishments.
When preparing a few layouts for this post, it occured to Donna that many of her layouts feature BasicGrey patterned papers as the basis for her design. While plain and textured cardstocks will always have their place in the scrapbooking world, BasicGrey have always provided beautiful and creative alternatives on which to 'build' a scrapbooking layout. This layout needed little more than a few bold, funky ribbons and BasicGrey monogram letters...an easy layout that is fun and creative!
Chris has used the beautiful soft tones of the BasicGrey Sugared range to create this gorgeous layout. She has distressed along machine stiched seams to create depth in this layout and had fun mixing paper shapes and sizes. Adding chipboard and alphabets from the same range makes the perfect co-ordinated page.
DT member, Chris was kind enough to share with us this sweet door hanger made for a friends little bubs. The Sugared range of products by BasicGrey is perfectly suited to baby layouts and projects such as this!
This beautiful shadow box canvas comes to us from the lovely Tammy Tutterow. This project caught our attention immediately...we love the way Tammy has incorporated two popular projects in one using noting but beautiful BasicGrey eyecandy. Thanks for sharing Tammy!
Judi VanValkinburgh of North Tonawanda, NY shares with us this stunning project. We love that Judi has used her scrapbooking skills and creativity to make this beautiful baby gift. It just goes to show that scrapbooking products like BasicGrey's Sugared range don't have to be used in traditional ways, but are only limited by our own imaginations!
Tineke Methorst from Holland has very kindly allowed us to show you this beautifully whimsical layout 'Freedom'. We were impressed with Tineke's intricate design - there's a great deal of detail on this page, yet it maintains a sense of 'freedom' and fluidity that simply 'works'! Thanks Tineke.
