Caz is not sure which threw her more, the unusual colour combination or the journaling prompt 'routine'. These gorgeous papers from the SEI Bridgeport range had the perfect blue and purple, then Caz cheated a little and added some of the lime to give it a lift. She snuck the 2 shades of yellow in using the Basic Grey letter stickers as the title.
Caz actually built the page before she even thought about the words, after all, she really has no set routine, she just gets in the car and drives the kids around, ALOT. It wasn't until she sat down and wrote out what they did routinely every week that she realised it wasn't just random driving at all (and that she really shouldn’t worry that her kids don't get enough exercise, lol).
Caz downloaded a calendar page from the internet and changed the colour to match her layout then simply printed her journaling over the top.
This colour challenge was something that took Jaimie time to get her head around. It’s one thing to create projects using manufacturer product but to just go off colour alone was a little tricky. Jaimie liked the striking combination but felt in using so much 'bright' any photo or journaling might become lost so she teamed the palette with white which toned down the yellow and orange making the blues and dark purples pop. The journalling prompt was a word that is at the foundation of Jaimie’s world! Routine is something she lives by and could not survive her hectic life without. Jaimie journalled about her insane need to have everything running to schedule and how she relies on lists, diaries and plans to make her life run smoothly.
A photo of her daily diary complete with her much used highlighter pens gives focus to her journalling and her cute clusters of layered flowers, brads, circle cutouts and a very large but cute bird sticker add a touch of whimsy to Jaimie's page about her insane need for routine.
