Carole created this very vibrant Christmas layout, using the gorgeous Crate Paper North Pole Collection. Carole loved all the gorgeous, Diecuts and stickers, which she layered and created cute elements with. Carole also used Crate Paper North Pole Brads and Basic Grey swirl gems for something a little extra, and to give the Christmas feel.
It’s all in the details with Carole’s layouts, so enjoy some of her close ups to appreciate them all.
Carole created this layout using the very Funky Bliss Collection by Crate Paper, with its pop culture type papers, stickers and embellishments.
The fun shapes and funky flowers with cute sayings made this collection really enjoyable and easy to use. Lots of vibrant purples and pinks with a dash of lime, a real experience and so much fun.
Mel used the beautiful range of Cottage papers and embellishments to create this layout, a reminder of a 'daddy and daughter' date to the movies a few months ago. A centre strip (picket fence) was hand stitched onto the page with a ric-rac sticker (from the Cottage embellishments) positioned along the chocolate edge. Circles were then punched out from other patterned papers in the range and blanket stitched onto the background (Path) before adding a few brads to complete the page.
Another layout by Mel using the gorgeous Cottage range from Crate Paper. A sheet of Fireflies was used for the background and then various patterned papers from the range were handcut out to embellish around the photograph. The sweet softie in the photo was a weekend project created by Mel and her daughter, repurposing an old woolen glove to create a cuddly bear. The Art rubons in the Cottage range include elegant flowers and words, which were both perfect to complete the page.
Thanks so much to Petrina McDonald for sharing one of her layouts with us again. This sweet page showcases some patterned paper and stem stickers by the Lillian Range and the little bit of cuteness in the photograph is Petrina's niece, taking after her Mama and two Aunties with the camera on Christmas day. We loved the simplicity of the page and the sweet machine stitching around the photograph.

One of Carole’s favourite things to work with are die cuts where all the cutting out work is done for you, and she said she nearly flipped when she discovered these new releases from Crate Paper.
Carole used Crate Paper Little Sprout Collection - 12 x 12 and Glitter Diecuts as you can see they are just adorable, teamed with the Little Sprout pattern papers, so vibrant, yet very sweet for little sprouts such as her baby photos of Chaise. The diecuts worked perfectly for Carole's design, using the 12 x 12 mushroom tree as the main feature and embellishing with the gorgeous Glitter Diecuts.
Carole created this second Project also using Little Sprout Collection 12 x 12 and Glitter diecuts. She created this cute little flip up Layout, it does lay down to go into your protector to fit into your album, but when you stand the top of the layout up it pops up.
Well who doesn't like a good Rocket and Alien Layout lol !! This gorgeous "Orbit Collection" by Crate Paper is just adorable, with its very cute Glitter Diecuts of Aliens and rockets, and also the very versatile 12 x 12 Diecut, which can be cut up or used as full piece to create your design for your individual layouts.
Carole really enjoyed creating this layout of her Son Chaise, and Chaise loved it too !!
The Mia range from Crate Paper combines Nic's favourite colours all in the one gorgeous set of papers and embellishments. Divine deep purple, olive green, raspberry red, chocolate brown and more!
Here Nicole combines the Mia papers and embellishments with a Jenni Bowlin button and tag and flowers by Heidi Swapp and Little Yellow Bicycle to create this gorgeous layout of her daughter Madeleine walking their new kitten on a lead.
The colours are warm yet earthy, the patterns decorative yet understated and the lovely Crate Paper texture adds warmth to the page.
Chris's friend Leisa recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. When Chris saw the Lillian range she decided to create this lovely layout featuring Leisa and her new little boy Samuel. The die cuts in this range were the perfect accent for a baby layout and all the colours tie in beautifully together.
The new Orbit range is ful lof spaceships, cute monsters and alien like creatures, however, the papers and diecuts are suitable for a really wide range of themes and layouts. For this page Mel has used the Asteroids die cut sheet of paper as her background and then added a cluster of photos and a few simple embellishments (Orbit glitter diecuts and glitter borders) to complete the page.
The computer game 'Spore' has become an addiction for Mel's son James and the Orbit range seemed perfect for recording this memory on paper. The large diecut has been machine stitched onto the page (Transmit die cut) and then a few of the embellishments added with foam mounting tape to help lift them off the layout and create a few different layers.
A big thank you to Gina Rodgers for sharing this gorgeous layout with us. Gina has used a lovely mix of Crate paper die cuts combined with Cosmo Cricket products and a splash of Basic Grey buttons. We loved the sweet photo and the pretty flower clusters scattered across the page.

For this page Gina has has used a Crate Paper die cut for the pretty scalloped edge on the lower half of the layout and added a cluster of Crate dies to the right hand side of the photo. The mixed alphabet title completes the page perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing Gina!

This delicious layout comes from Jenn Emch and utilises the Mia range beautifully! Jenn has used the die-cut paper "Hooked" as her base and embellished with little pieces of pattern from the same range. Thank you for letting us show your sweet layout Jenn.
Crate Paper are turning to the 'just plain fun' with these three wonderfully energetic ranges.
Crate Paper has long been a favourite of Chris's and new ranges are no exception. Chris has used the Blue Hill collection for this simple design. Adding the die cuts and rub-ons really make this layout stand out.
Chris wanted to create something pretty for a little girls room with the Katlin range. She certainly achieved that with this stunning door hanger and mini clipboard set. Chris used the papers to cover the Jenni Bowlin chipboard butterflies and create a beautiful accent for her projects. She said the Katlin range combines so well that making these items was a breeze.
Note that Chris has used the Katlin rub-ons to add a cute little touch to the Scenic Route chipboard alphas on the clipboard.
Many thanks to Debbie Kingston for sharing her lovely work with us. Can I mention that it's also terrific to see a teenage layout! Debbie has used the Static collection to create this great layout.
Debbie also explains how she used the grungeboard on her layout: "The grungeboard hinges were painted with a thin coat of chocolate paint and then some gold paint was gently and lightly rubbed over the top picking up the embossed swirls in the grungeboard. The result was a metallic looking hinge."

again, something for everyone here and some exciting and inspiring colour palettes our design team just can't' wait to get their hands on!
we have an abundance of riches to share with you today all featuring some of our favourite patterned paper ranges from Crate Paper. To begin, Mel Goodsell has outdone herself with these four fabulous layouts.
Mel has blanket stitched around a sheet of Coral patterned paper (Crush collection) and combined Orange County Crateboard alphas plus Hambly Screen Print rubons to create a layout about her son's favourite memories from their Easter camping trip this year.
The Zoom range of patterned papers doesn't always have to be about planes, trains and automobiles! Mel has demonstrated that here with a fun layout using up some of those hard to scrap photos. The circles have been hand cut from the Wheels patterned paper and the title is a mix of Zoom crushboard and rubons.
Of course if you do just happen to have some plane, train or automobile photos around, the Zoom range is just perfect! Mel has used the train track rubons to add a border to the top and bottom of her layout and the main title (Zoom crushboard) has been stitched into place to reinforce the train track theme.
The yummy autumn tones found in the Crush collection of patterned papers sit perfectly with many of the Heidi Swapp orange, green and brown coloured decorative tapes available. Mel has used a single strip of tape across the bottom half of her layout and completed the page using chocolate chipboard alphas found in the Orange County Crushboard pack.
Why not use this range to make some gorgeous handmade gifts for a new born baby as Chris has done. Plain gift bags can be found at craft shops and door hangers can easily be made by covering some chipboard that has been measure and cut to size. Chris loves how 'inkable' the crate paper range is also.
Keeping with the baby theme Chris has blocked her photos and journalling on this layout and kept the lines very simple yet effective. Chris added a very interesting stamped border around her photos using the Sassafras Lass border stamp. Chris stamped the images onto the Baby Bee paper, cut the images out and then secured them around the edge of her photos.
We discovered these gorgeous layouts both created by Donna Meuli and both using the Baby Bee range. We love the way Donna has incorporated hand stitching and machine stitching to her layouts, it really compliments the Baby Bee range. It's wonderful to have your creations on the blog this week, thank you Donna.
A big thank you to Ann Lederhose for sharing her scrumptious layout using the Twirl collection of patterned papers. We loved her beautiful use of hand cut and punched flowers and the little added bit of bling scattered throughout the page. Such a pretty and well balanced layout!

Last but not least this week, the Crush collection of papers are certainly perfect for those upcoming Christmas layouts as Cathy Bodini has demonstrated on this elegant page of her daughter. Cathy has also used the patterned papers to cover the brackets from one of the Crateboard chipboard packs (alphabets, numbers & punctuation) and we also adored the cool page title!
