Hambly says this is their biggest release yet, and with chevrons, hot air balloons, clouds and honeycomb designs, they are right on trend for this season. Fabulous new designs and a gorgeous gelato colour palette.

There are some times when we are working on a project, and totally love the design of a Hambly overlay but the shiny transparent surface just won't suit - Danielle was inspired by a recent Hambly Screen Prints blog post to try out this fantastic technique which is perfect for that exact situation. She simply painted her kraft cardstock with an acetate-based nail polish remover, placed the Hambly overlay ink side down on the cardstock and then rolled over the top to transfer the design.
The best bit is that she still has the original overlay to use another time, now with a slightly shabby effect due to being partially transferred! Danielle also enjoyed applying Hambly rub-ons in a scattered design across her page, and adding random Hambly clear label stickers as a design element. A couple of strips of the Hambly 'bird on a wire' overlay finish it off nicely.
In Leeann’s eyes there is so much fun to be had with Hambly…She loves getting completely inspired from each piece they bring out. Leeann has created very arsty background using a mixture of overlays and rub-ons. And you can see how they work perfectly together. The frames are a massive favorite as they can be used in so many great ways.
Felicitas Klink of Germany created this gorgeous card using a Hambly 'birds on a wire' overlay as the main feature. Her painterly background behind the birds looks fantastic!
We love Leena Loh's use of Hambly on this fun layout, where she has layered pieces from a variety of Hambly designs yet still creates a cohesive, vibrant look. Thanks for letting us share your work, Leena!
Finally we have some fabulous pages and cards by Kim Jeffress who is also a design team member for Hambly. When you look closer at Kim’s work you will notice little finishing touches that give you a whimsy feel. Thanks for sharing your creations with us.

As always, Hambly are on-trend with lattice and garlands, and those deer are clearly irresistible Christmas must-haves! See here for more detailed images.

Louise so loves creating with patterned overlays and and rubons; for her they are as versatile and fabulous as patterned paper and flowers are to her incredibly talented and creative team colleague Janine. The addition of decorated tapes to the Hambly Screen Prints range of products is a brilliant move; one which Louise was very excited to see. As you can see from this layout, the tapes, rubons and overlays coordinate perfectly, and require minimal further embellishment. The pop of colour on a black background is a creates a beautiful and whimsical contrast.
Iris, also, did not use any patterned paper at all for this layout... instead she took out her hambly washi tapes, clear stickers, and overlays to create this fun colourful page about the children in her life. Some carefully placed embellishments add texture and dimension to her page.
This beautiful project is by Norwegian scrapbooker Ania. Whenever Ania works on a transparent background she would always add some Hambly products to her projects. She loves that Hambly usually does the same print/motif for both their papers, transparencies and rubons so you can play with all three mediums.

Inspired by a beautiful pumpkin created for Halloween by Tiffany Johnson over on the Hambly Studio blog, Suz thought a similar concept would make lovely homemade christmas tree decorations. These are fairly quick and simple to make – just strips of Hambly transparency secured at either end with brands and Jenni Bowlin pins, and can be customised to suit your colour scheme. Suz created these in golds and whites but can also imagine how beautiful they would be in the rich jewelled tones of the more colour transparencies.

Iris used overlays and Hambly frame stickers to frame her photos. A combination of cut-out overlay frames and clear stickers create a tree for the outdoor scene you can see here.
It’s no secret that Hambly has long been one of Suz’s favourite manufacturers. The rubon journalling blocks she has used above are just one of her many go-to products that you will regularly find on her pages. For embellishment Suz has combined the gorgeous colours of the Peacock Feather overlays to create a bouquet effect and accentuated the colour palette with Little Yellow Bicycle flowers from the Clothesline range.
Jules loves doing romantic, beautiful layouts, but she does not do shabby chic layouts. For this page, she wanted something that will give her layout a more modern vibe. That's where Hambly transparencies come into play. With this layout she used Hambly doilies and lace transparencies in hot pink to add a girly, romantic touch. Teamed with Webster's papers, it creates an elegant but modern image. Add a little bling (Zva Creative) and the project is complete.
Keshet Shenkar made this page to remember how happy and beautiful her friend looked on her wedding day. The white patchwork rub-ons added both a "fun" element and an elegant, feminine look, fitting a bridal layout well. Since she loved the rub-ons so much, she let them take center stage on the page and added many elements over them. She also added bits of twine and a mini clothespin after seeing some beautiful inspiration from Debee Campos, a talented scrapper and crafter.
Piradee Talvanna combined Pink Paislee’s 365 Degrees range with Hambly to create this beautifully and brightly romantic wedding day page.
Finally we loved the simplicity and vibrancy of this page by Michelle Sielman. She has used the glorious Hambly tree rubon on kraft, and to give it more contrast she has coloured in the gaps in the wood grain. She’s also used both Hero Arts and Technique Tuesday stamps on this layout – what’s not to love?! Thanks Michelle for allowing us to share it here.

Hambly Screenprints puts out the most amazing products in the industry today. Here Steph has used their transparencies and rub on's to create this page about her daughter Madi. Steph has painted random colors on her base and then once dry, has used the Hambly Doiley Rub Ons to cover the colors. This creates a real arty feel to her page and custom colors the Rub Ons. She has co-ordinated stickers and transparencies to compliment the eclectic natures of this colorful and fun layout.
We loved this simple but stunning layout by Becky Novacek. Becky's layout revolves around her daughter's "Messy Face" and Hambly Papers and Transparancies are perfect and bright choice to frame that gorgeous photo. Thanks Becky we really love this.
This amazing layout by Anne Jo Lexander showcases quite a few of Hambly's gorgeous products. Anne has combined the Kraft Stickers with transparencies to get these stunning results. The juxtaposition of all these different patterns mixes together just beautifully to frame the gorgeous photo of her daughter.
This fabulous layout by Paige Evans utilizes many of the delicious patterns featured on Hambly transparencies. Paige has managed to showcase so many patterns yet the focus remains perfectly on the photo. We think this is an amazingly clever idea, thankyou Paige.
Amy Coose from Virginia in the United States created this divine layout, proving that Hambly doily rub-ons are not just for girly layouts. We adore how she used them to create this gorgeous maternal layout full of warmth without making it look feminine. Amy applied the rub-ons and then misted them for this beautiful effect. Thanks Amy.

Using transparencies is a staple when Steph creates her layouts. Aussie Scrap Source is now wholesaling 7 Gypsies and they have some stunning transparencies available. On this layout, Steph used the ATC transparencies and mixed them with a few Hambly Transparencies. You can see the square angles of the 7G ATC Cards, and the floral motifs and clock have been hand cut from the ATC Cards.
Here Suz has layered transparencies from Little Yellow Bicycle and Pink Paislee. She has used a large photo transparency to ‘frame’ the image her daughter would have been taking of the ducks on the lake while still keeping her own image including her daughter intact.
The ‘capture the moment’ strip underneath the photo is one of Pink Paislee’s Borderline Clear Stickers from the 365Degrees line. The daisies she has scattered over the page are not only translucent, but glittered, and really, no layout of Phoebe would be complete without a smattering of glitter!

Transparencies are so versatile and look stunning on any creation, and none are more fabulous than Hambly’s! There is a myriad of things that you can do with a transparency and here Steph shows two other ways to use this versatile textile. Firstly she has cut the new Lace Hambly Transparency into strips and used them to frame her photo.
Because of the transparent quality of this textile, they are ideal for layering and special effects as shown here, adhered onto the photo. Another interesting way of showcasing this product is to use it as a "window" on your layout. Steph has cut a huge window in the middle of her Aussie Scrap Source Cardstock and adhered the Hambly Dress Form Transparency to the back. As you can see the result is gorgeous. This technique would look lovely for OTP projects and different size windows on a page.
Kraft Cardstock, grid paper, a variety of alphabets and Hambly transparencies all combine together to make this feel-good layout by Nic Howard. Nic knew the Hambly transparency would make a wonderful frame for this photo of her friends. She wanted bright colours with fun effect, and knew the frame would make the photo pop. Strips pf paper from Sassafras Lass add the spark, while some dark inking accentuates the effects of the black and white Hambly frames.
Suz loved Hambly’s Clear Butterfly Stickers and had been looking for an excuse to use them. She found it when creating a layout about a conversation she had with her daughter. Suz has layered Hambly over Hambly, included beautiful BasicGrey Lace Cuts and of course added the Clear Stickers which give, an otherwise simple page, some much needed movement.
A Hambly post isn’t really complete without a layout from Loretta Grayson using her favourite woodgrain transparency. Here she uses a Van Gogh quote to form the basis of this amazingly beautiful swirly layout. Something about it makes you want to just dive into the page. Thanks so much Rett for letting us share your talent yet again.
Christine Drumheller created this fabulous page with so many elements that we love – substantial journalling, lots of fun detail, perfect balance, and of course Hamby Screen Prints! We love how she has layered the leaves – and check out the little Sassafras owl hiding in the tree! Thanks Christine.
Finally, how beautiful is this tag? Judi VanValkinburgh-Garber allowed us to share her fabulous talent here – we love how she has combined Hambly with felt and such fabulous stitching to create a tag anyone would be thrilled to find in their mailbox. Thanks so much Judi.

Jenni Bowlin’s lovely Front Porch line is a gorgeous range of smaller prints which can be used year round, but the deep red, green and gold also obviously lend themselves beautifully to Christmas pages and projects.
Here Suz has used them on a neutral Kraft base, letting the colours and patterned pop. Paired with even deeper reds of Little Yellow Bicycle’s Christmas ribbons and a couple of Jenni’s cute journalling tags and this page came together quickly and easily. Suz has added little details of texture with felt stars and pearls, and for a more translucent feel she has applied Hambly Rubons to Transparency to create her Christmas tree.

The idea of creating a layout using Hambly, and not using primary, secondary or tertiary colors was inspiration for Steph's layout of her Wedding Day. She wanted to create a mood, using a neutral palette of black, white and beige. For this she chose Hambly's overlays featuring the beautiful new Butterfly overlay release.
Here Steph cut out all the butterflies from the overlay and using glue dots attached them to top layer of her layout. This gave the butterflies a beautiful 3D layout. She has actually kept this layout on a stand in her studio, to remind her of the beautiful memories from her wedding.
Suz used the full sheet of the new All Mixed Up white overlay on this layout of her daughter first learning to rollerblade. The slightly distressed look went with the theme and, failing to find patterned papers that didn’t overwhelm the photos, decided to combine two of her fave things – Hambly and Glimmer Mist. She sprayed co-ordinating colours on a sheet of white cardstock roughly picking out the different areas of pattern in the overlay.
She kept the circle theme going with thin strips of Rose Moka papers and embellished with coloured overlays and a few of the gorgeous Technique Tuesday white chipboard shapes as a frame for her title and journalling.
Carole created this cute layout using the Hambly Classic Animals Brown Rubons, and Hambly Transparencies. Carole created a Wild Animal Theme using these gorgeous rubons as embellishments.
Sometimes there’s no stopping Carole! She also created this cute little frame using the Hambly Classic Animal (Brown) Rub-ons, and Hambly transparencies. Carole cut out the shapes she wanted for the background and stuck them to the frame, and then placed the rub-ons onto transparency and cut them out and layered them onto the frame. Just something cute to display in her home.
This layout by Carli Fennell is just beautiful, and Steph wanted to share it because of the way Carli used the funky Hambly Product and mixed it with feminine beauty. The soft tulle and tiny roses surprisingly go beautifully with the fun Sassafras Papers and Hambly Overlay.
This layout by the talented Kerry Lynn Yearly is just sublime, dotted with an accent of cuteness. Here Kerry Lyn has used Hambly's Classic Animal Rub Ons as a fun centre piece for her music paper flowers.
These funky little notebooks are designed by Allison Kreft Abad, and are a gorgeous addition to any handbag. Allison has used a combination of Hambly patterned papers and rub ons and the result is just stunning. Thanks Allison !

By selecting a few of the colours in the photos and matching these to some Hambly products, Mel has created a vibrant, colourful layout of a recent trip up the mountain. The Hambly clear edged border stickers (combined with a splash of Heidi Swapp Decorative Tape) provided a colourful backdrop for the title and by adding some subtle bird rubons (Out On A Limb, Pink) to the layout, Mel added a little bit of nature to her page.
Nicole created this page by combining the old-fashioned gorgeous-ness of the Hambly Vintage Plaid papers with the superbly modern "Mod" tree rub -ons. She added the Hambly Brick overlay behind the photo and placed her title words onto Hambly clear journal blocks. She cut flourishes from the journalling rub-ons and even utilised the flourishes from the brand banner on top of the rub-ons sheet.
Finished off with brick overlay covering a Scenic Route chipboard arrow and all anchored together with some sweet hand-stitching, Nic created this sweet tribute to her husband Nathan.
The beauty of Hambly is that their products are so ornate that they can make even the most simple layout look complex - case in point here with Nic Howard's layout. Nic has used a twigs and weeds Hambly transparency on top of a Hambly Kraft paper. She added a lime vintage corner rub-on for colour pop and finished with Hambly Vintage Alpha rub-ons.
A beautiful layout and so easy to do!
Suz loves Hambly transparencies with a passion - even the smallest leftover piece is saved and kept in a 12x12 bag that she rummages through at some point in almost every layout she creates. And those leftover pieces created great happiness in her when she discovered that between those and a couple of the newest Brocade 12x12 sheets, she could create rainbows.
A tip though - don't try and cut transparencies with a circle punch unless you want yours to end up in the bin like hers is now. Instead for most of these Suz had to lovingly trace and cut out with scissors. It was worth it though to create rainbows and celebrate the smiley faces that her daughter Phoebe likes to leave drawn around the house for her to find - yes, even in her dried paint palette. The stunningly co-ordinated "Laugh" comes from a Carolee's Creations foam sticker embellishment set - the perfect final touch.
Loretta Grayson also loves Hambly, and we love Loretta! How stunning are the colours in this layout - the dark of the background paper makes the hot pink, green and white transparencies just pop right off the page.
This layout, also created by Loretta Grayson can be found in the Two Peas Creating Garden. We love here how she has turned Hambly Woodgrain into a peacock feather by the mere power of suggestion and design. Thanks for allowing us to share your work again Rett.
We have Melanie Louette to thank for this gorgeous layout. Melanie has used the MIni Graph Overlay in the background and layered the Dandelions in one of her panels to create a perfectly balanced layout.
Another combination of the Mini Graph and Dandelions in this layout by Tatum Woodroffe shows just how versatile these products are. We love that Tatum has used the transparency as her 'cardstock' - and we also love the touches of Pink Paislee and Scenic Route papers peeping through the back of her photos!
It was the clever placement of the Hambly Woodgrain Overlay that caught our eye in this layout by Petrina McDonald. Petrina has included a little splash of Cosmo Cricket and BasicGrey to finish off the page. How cute is that photo!!? Just beautiful.
For this stunning layout Petrina McDonald has again used the woodgrain overlay to represent the ripples of water in the waves. Very cool and gives a totally different feel to the page. We loved the little added title using Carolee's Creations alphabet stickers too.
This Hambly project was created by Lesley Cooper from New Zealand. Lesley used a Hambly transparency as the base for her project, she added Hambly Mod flower rub-ons, cardstock, ribbons and photos and the result was a very clever accordion album for her daughter.
Another clever creation from Lesley - the first thing that caught our eye was the fabulous circled paper through the middle, then we realised it isn't paper - it is a Hambly transparency over cardstock! What a fabulous way to make custom coloured patterned paper. There are so many Hambly-transparency-over-cardstock options, we think she might start something here! Thanks for sharing Lesley!
Finally we wrap up this post with a dash of orange. Thanks to Vivian Masket for allowing us to share this layout using orange Hambly Graph Overlay of her daughter playing with the orange Hambly Graph Overlay! Love it!

Grab a cuppa and don't scroll too quickly through these stunning layouts all featuring Hambly Screen Prints. There's an amazing array of detail to be found if you look carefully.
Remember we are thrilled to receive your layouts and feature some of them in upcoming weekend inspiration posts. The updated brand list can be found in the sidebar.

Jaimie kept this page as simple as she could. Minimal embellishments, journaling and fuss BUT the wow factor still remains. The black, white and silver base is made all the more brilliant with the vibrant red alphadots. Lovely

To celebrate her oldest sons first high school formal, Jaimie wanted to create a page that would keep focus on her son and his friends but still convey the emotion felt on the occasion which she has achieved through her title and appropriate quote which takes the place of journaling. By layering rubons in both black and white and then adding Q&Co felt ribbon she has added minimal to get optimal.
Hambly Screen Prints offer a wide range of transparent overlays, rubons and patterned papers, all suitable for a vast array of scrapbooking projects. In this layout Mel has combined a twigs & weeds overlay in white with a sheet of mini graph, white on kraft patterned paper. The overlay has been machine stitched into position and a small splash of Junkitz mini feltz flowers added to create a little texture. The rubons (for the title) are also by Hambly Screen Prints - how cool is that font!
A big thankyou to Ann Lederhose for sharing this seriously scrummy layout. Ann has used a mix of red and aqua paint underneath the Hambly Screen Print transparency and a little splash of white paint directly on top of the transparency to create the photo matting. Don't the colours look divine with the photo!!
Alison Shearer's LO certainly has an Urban feel. We loved her hand drawn title and all the little bits of eye candy that make up this gorgeous page all drawn together by her use of the Hambly overlay.

Petrina McDonald created this striking layout to sit on a wooden frame in the entrance of her home during the holiday season. Such a beautiful idea! Here she has used the black journaling bits transparency to highlight each photo on the page. What caught our eye was the mix of red, green and black - so perfect for the festive time of year. Thankyou Petrina.
Here Danielle has used Hambly rubons and paper on her LO about her connection with the lovely Lusi Austin. Bright and cheery the LO is perfectly balanced and draws the eye through the page so nothing is missed.

Simply breathtaking is the cry that went out when we saw Sue's LO. The rich orange of the Hambly overlay is perfectly complimented with the red background and certainly makes Sue's photo of her beautiful daughter POP!!
Sue Johannes says: As soon as I saw this photo of Jade the first word that popped into my mind was “radiate”. She just radiates so much energy and personality. The colours orange, red and yellow go hand in hand with the theme of radiate and the yummy Hambly paper was the perfect choice. I used a sheet of paper with a sun image on it and used the design as a template then sewed around the image with embroidery thread.
The butterflies stitched on the outside are filled with beads and Dimensional Magic. The felt ribbon down the bottom is of course Queen and Co. If you ever want bright and funky then you can’t go past Hambly!!

Another fantastic LO that is good enough to eat. Lots of layering was used on this page and the Hambly overlay just peaking out from beneath the main photo is beautiful.
Sue says: I am totally into anything bright and funky at the moment and the Hambly transparencies and rub-ons definitely fit the bill!! When I printed out this photo of my eldest I couldn’t believe how old she looked. I added a photo of her taken only 3 years before to show how much she had changed.
To give the idea of the movement of time I used the circular Hambly transparency as the background and painted inside the circle and an orange spot on each of the swirly parts. To balance the orange felt and crocheted flower in the bottom right-hand corner I added the vibrant orange Hambly rub-on to the top left-hand corner. I love the way these rub-ons go on like butter. Hambly would have to be my all time favourite manufacturer." Thanks for sharing your inspiration Sue.

Dont you just love these transparent LO's! Alison has created an eye catching page of her too cool daughter. Her use of cluster embellishments really give that wow factor and make you want to run your hands all over her page. "oh yeah" Alison - we agree - too cool!
Danielle has created this gorgeous mini album cover from a Hambly overlay. The bright pink has been toned down by teaming it with cool teal and finished off with Hambly rubons. Stunning work.

Mel decided to create a mini album using an Aussie Scrap Source Bare Board Book (chunky 5" X 5") for the Hambly Screen Print overlay challenge. The Ahoy Matey overlay and matching rubons were perfect for the pirate themed photos Mel was working with. 12 X 12 overlays can be cut down to any size, simply use a paper trimmer, craft knife or scissors.
On the front of this album a small pirate flag has been hand cut off the overlay (pirate flag) and machine stitched to the cover page to add an interesting feature. Overlays have been used throughout the book - simply machine stitched into position.
Rubons or alphabet stickers can then be adhered over the top of the overlay to create a title. So easy and fun!
Steph fell in love with this Hambly Chandelier Story when it arrived at Aussie Scrap Source. Here she has used Heidi Swapp Diamente Strips and pealed off each diamente individually. She then stuck them on using ordinary glue one by one. To enhance the chandelier even more, Steph used BasicGrey rubons to for an even more feminine look.
Combining this transparency with Hambly Rub-Ons in Swirl motifs, the layout looks fem inine and chic and emphasizes the very striking and very-Steph colour story. The scalloped border adds extra interest as does the dotty paper from Scenic Route.
Suz had an awful lot of fun layering Hambly transparencies where with Tinkering Ink Perfectly Posh papers. The slightly surreal look of her daughter's butterfly face painting worked wonderfully with the mix of pink white and lime transparencies and even a touch of orange with the application of a couple of co-ordinating Hambly rubons.
The title comes from Tinkering Ink die cut which she has outlined in dots and a few scattered bits of CherryArte chipboard finished the look.
Nic seems to think she needs to step away from this colour scheme now. We think if you're on to a beautiful thing you should keep on it.
But beyond the colour scheme, subtle touches are what this layout is all about. Look closely and you will see Nic has added numbers around the circle to form a clock, fitting with her 'today' theme. She has also used two of the Hambly journaling bits transparencies as embellishments down the lower right of the photo. Cut out BasicGrey flowers, Queen & Co beads and Heidi Swapp Jewels are the tiny finishing touches here.
Just one of the beautiful things about Hambly Screen Prints Overlays as Donna discovered is that you need not stop at just one! To create this dramatic and bold layout Donna has layered two Overlays to create a 'shadow' effect. Little else was needed to finish the layout due to the size and interest that these overlays generate.
'100% Drama' is definitely a new favourite layout of Donna's and you'll be sure to see more of these Hambly Screen Prints overlays in her layouts in future!
While cruising the net one night (clearly task avoiding again), Caz came across a site which sold badges and magnets with funny sayings on them. After sitting up till 1:45am giggling to herself she decided to create a little book with her favourites in it.
The book is simply Tinkering Ink Perfectly Posh double sided paper (yes we ALL love it!) cut into 4” squares, with 2 holes punched in the side of the pages so it can be held together with hinged rings. The front cover and each of the dividing pages have a layer of Hambly Screen Print Chic Circles Overlay Lime Green covering them, with various alpha stickers and rub-ons spelling out the titles.
Chris took a simple approach with the Hambly products and created a set of friendship cards. She secured the transparency journalling bits overlay by placing tiny dobs of glue under the transparency where the Heidi Swapp jewels are placed. The silver twigs & dandelion rub-ons also help hold the transparency in place. Chris used a black 'sharpie' pen to write on the overlay. Sharpies can be purchased from most supermarkets.
Using a Picture it 6x6 inch frame Chris has created a hanging display for inspirational quotes or messages. She applied the silver twigs & dandelion rub-ons onto the outside of the frame and used the journalling overlay on the quote featured in the 6x6 layout. Chris wanted to use a finer pen to journal on the overlay and found the Black Permawriter was perfect for this.
Other products Chris used for the layout are the Hello Ladies range from Fontwerks, gem brads from Love you more and ribbon from Strano.
Clearly (pardon the pun) Chris was loving the Hambly transparencies. Here she has used the journaling overlays on this layout featuring various photos from Easter School holidays. (The design for this layout is a sketch by Kim Archer who was the guest designer at the Aussie Sketch Site last month http://sketchesoz.blogspot.com/)
As well as using the overlays for journalling on her layout, Chris discovered that if you very carefully use a small amount of nail polish remover on the overlays you can remove the lines in the journalling spots and turn them into frames. This is what Chris has used over the top left photo in this layout.
Other products Chris has used on this layout are the Fontwerks Hello Ladies pattern papers, Strano ribbon and Basic Grey Wholly Cow rub-ons. Chris used the Hero Arts Black permawriter pen to journal onto the overlays.

Hambly Screen Prints manufacture top quality transparencies, rubons and printed paper, and Aussie Scrap Source is proud to add them to our list of suppliers. They come in a vibrant array of designs and colours, with new ones being released all the time.
This week are asking the the design team to step outside the box with Hambly's transparencies, to see how their usefulness and beauty can be maximised.
Jaimie Emmerton kicks off with this striking combination of orange, black and white.
We've quickly learned that Jaimie is never one to shy away from a challenge, and she couldnt wait to use these Hambly overlays and rubons - in orange! Her summer photo was perfectly showcased with the warm colours from this range of products.
Jaimie added a funky arrangement of Plain Jane Chipboard Frames coloured with Stazon ink to contain a quote and date, and the page is finished with simple machine stitching to create a framed effect.
Check back next Tuesday to see what the rest of the design team have been scheming up with Hamblys in the meantime.
