Over the last week our Design Team has put together some stunning layouts using decorative tape. We hope that you take away from this gallery a few ideas to try in your own projects.
Nic has used Heidi Swapp decorative tape on the layout " Almost a flower girl". By printing on the back of the tape Nic created a hand cut title, she has also used a Quickutz flower die to create a little flower sticker from tape. Nic has attached tape to a ghost frame for decoration, as well as to give the photo a border. She has also used the decorative tape down the side of the page to create a page border.
Suz had used Heidi Swapp decorative tape in the layout "Self Sufficient" to cover her chipboard letters. Simply cover the chipboard letters with the tape and then using your craft knife cut the letters out from behind. Suz has also added decorative tape to her acetate letters to jazz them up.
Nic has used Li'l Davis tape on the layout "Sweet Girl". She has placed the tape under the photo to create a patterned paper matt for the photo.
Caroline has also used Heidi Swapp decorative tape on the layout "Summer Days". Caz has chosen to attach her tape to look like ribbon, cutting angles in the end to achieve the ribbon effect. She has also cut out one of the flowers from the decorative tape pattern and used this as an accent.
Rachel has used Li'l Davis tape to create the layout "Mr Dollars and Cents". By cutting the $ sign out and coving it in tape , Rach has created a great accent which in turn forms part of her eye-catching title. Rach has also covered Li'l Davis chipboard letters to tie in with the theme of her layout, and has run a strip of bright tape underneath the photo to add a burst of colour.
Melissa has used Heidi Swapp tape on her "Georgia" layout. Mel has used the decorative tape to frame her photo. By adding folds to the tape and sewing over the top, Mel has added extra texture to the layout. Mel has also used her tape in strips across the page and as the centre of her flowers.
Liz has used Hiedi Swapp decorative tape and paint to alter her Lunch Pail and large monogram letters. She has simply attached the tape to her project and lightly sanded it to give a worn effect.
Jenni Bowlin has created this gorgeous layout using Li'l Davis tape. By placing her tape in a star shape she has added a accent that really stands out on the page.
