aussie scrap source!! well... carole says that she couldn't decide so she's sharing a bit of lots of different brands that we represent.
hot on the heels of the lovely nic finlayson we're excited to be able to officially welcome carole janson to the team. we love the uniquely her, three-dimensional look she brings to her layouts and other projects and we're sure that you will find even more inspiration in our posts with the addition of her work!
enjoy this introduction to some of her talent...
I used Sassafrass Lass Whale of a Tale Pattern Papers and Diecuts, which were so very cute. It was really hard not to make this layout three-dimensional - what with the cute waves, whales and boats etc. As you can see, the waves are all curled and the Whales tale is also curled up with journaling. I added Glitter and also dimensional magic to this project.
For this project I used an empty box with a transparency window at the front, and then I used Sassafrass Lass Sew Fine pattern papers, and also Owl Pals, which worked really well together - it's great to mix and match products from different lines. I will eventually put something inside it, and you can hang it up, which is also useful.
I just loved these BasicGrey Two Scoops papers and stickers when I saw them, the colours are so soft and so very pretty. I wanted to create something with the same feel. I used the photos of my daughter and her grandpa, and I love the effect I got.
The co-ordinating stickers are gorgeous. I inked around certain parts of the layout so it would stand out, and I cut the flowers up into pieces to get a larger 3D flower in the corner, which I curled in my fingers to give more dimension. I also added a few papers flowers as well, and then added a little glitter to finish off.
We R Memory Keepers Urbon Window papers tags and frames I especially love, the frames I created a little transparency window with this frame and then 3D-ed a little tag over the frame. I added a few scallop borders to this layout, and a transparency corner to the top right hand side of the layout, and then used a rub-on. I also cut out the flowers and added other flowers in front and behind, and did plenty of 3 Dimensional work.
The Inspiration for the I Love You Card came from the gorgeous Heidi Grace Design stickers, and the cute Cup Cake papers and the pretty colours.
The little square window, with the Sassafrass Sew Fine Die cut Bird has been done with a Heidi Swapp Silhouette Transparency shapes (black) tag, and some little 3D flowers.
The basic design is the a fold at the top of the card, and then you fold the card back onto itself.
I wanted to do something fun for my son, so I picked the Cherry Arte Cosmic Energy pattern papers and Die cuts, they worked so well, with the bright reds and blues. I cut the stars out of the pattern papers and attached foam tape to the back and stuck onto the album to give the stars some dimension, and I also cut around the photos, to make them flow better through the album. I also used some Junkitz rub-ons for the title.
Junkitz Flowerful range of papers. I folded the card three times, and cut out the flower in the papers and 3 Dimensioned them to the card, and then created a little house, and using the alpha papers I cut out the title Home Sweet Home. I love the colours of this cardstock, I think that was what really inspired me.
