our design team came up with some spectacular ideas for mothers day presents, and though it's over for another year we thought we'd share them with you as inspiration to file away for the future!
Carole loved creating this Knitting Caddy for Mothers Day, the papers where so cute and suited this BTP Project. The holder was made from chipboard and painted, and then the papers were scalloped and the owl was made three-dimensional.
Carole also wrapped the wool in the paper and a three-dimensional flower was made from the Pocket Full of Rosies stickers. Carole even painted the knitting needles!
Carole also created this tag, which was also made from Cosmo Cricket's Pocket Full of Rosies paper and stickers as well as a Robotic Tag. Again Carole used foam tape for the three-dimensional effect, and some Cosmo Cricket Ribbon.
Caz couldn't resist the soft florals and pastels of the Blue Hill range form Crate paper when she decided to make a few Mothers Day items.
She started with a simple card, creating the bird from the shapes in the Impression Die Cuts. A sprinkling of Heidi Swapp jewels in the centre of the flowers give it a little added interest.
Still using the beautiful Blue Hill range, case created this compendium from scratch. It has tabbed pages to hold birthdays, addresses and notes of things that need to be remembered. Caz printed the pages and tabs onto kraft cardstock and bound the whole thing at the local office supplies outlet.
This cute set of 3 frames have magnets on the back so that they can adorn Caz's fridge. They are all made using the Blue hill range and show the versatility of the papers, suiting photos of both boys and girls. The top of the frames has been left open and the photos just slip in so Caz can change them whenever she likes. This is a very quick and easy idea for those last minute gifts.
Suz altered this handy drawer set from Ikea using the beautiful BasicGrey Lily Kate papers to make a gorgeous and practical present for her mum. She painted the outside of the drawers with gesso. Each drawer used a single sheet of 12x12 paper and Been There Done That Tasmania alpha rubons were the perfect size and colour for the labels.
When Mel's daughter proudly brought her home an early Mother's Day present this year that she had been growing at school, Mel knew that she needed to create a page about the gift straight away. The spring fling overlay (by Pink Paislee) was perfect to use on the layout as were the Pink Paislee vintage pop alpha stamps - Mel stamped the title directly onto the overlay using Stazon ink. To finish off the page and add a sweet, delicate touch, some french knots were hand embroidered to each flower on the tree.
