Sometimes you might have a coloured photo that you want to use on a layout, but the colours are just woeful with the selection of patterned papers you had picked out. An easy solution is to change the photo to black and white and add a piece of black cardstock as the background, which will give the photo a lovely, extra lift. Combining patterned paper from Basic Grey and Pink Paislee, Mel created this cute addition to her BOM album. A Hero Arts journaling stamp (quotes background) was used on a piece of kraft cardstock to hold the 'what bugs me' journaling and some gorgeous Basic Grey buttons were hand stitched to complete the layout.

 

Suz decided to use the brightest, happiest papers and images she could to juxtapose and counteract the potential negativity of the content of her page (truth is, she just wanted to use some of the gorgeous new Sassafras and this seemed like a vaguely plausible excuse).

Suz used Heidi Swapp journalling spots to list her woes (and this means she can add to the page as she thinks of things) and new Carolee’s creations alpha stickers in between handwriting.  If you look closely you’ll also see she has unearthed her sewing machine – each rainbow ray has been stitched for added texture.

 

 

Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy collections was perfect for Carole's layout of her children, such fun papers to create with, and it worked really well with the theme "What Bugs You".  Carole cut out many of the elements from the themed papers - the trees, cars and caravans and foam taped them up and also inked around the edges, to give them a more distressed look.
Most times Sarah loves her brother, but there are those occasions where brothers will be brothers lol !!

Steph couldn't wait to lift Kelli Crowe. She absolutely adores her playful, fun style and the way she uses colour. Here Steph had the chance to use all of her scraps by punching them into circles from four different circle punches. Kelli's instructions were to adhere the photo to the base and start sticking down circles around the outline of the photo. From there you just work your way out.

As you can see the result is bright and fun, and although Steph tried to think of another title, "Goof ball" just seemed to be perfect.

Caz has long been an avid reader of Kelli's quirky blog and admirer of her work so she jumped at the chance to participate in this scraplift post.  When she saw the rays on Kelli's layout she decided to scrap a quick layout of her daughters 14th Birthday which was yesterday. Darcy has long been know as their Ray of Sunshine, so the theme worked perfectly.

Caz dug into her stash of Dawson, one of the very first releases by BasicGrey to come up with the perfect papers. Just goes to show that hoarding is a good thing. lol.

Suz loves kelli’s style – loves her colour palette, loves the playfulness and humour she injects into her layouts, loves her artistry – she even love her taste in boy’s names!    But what Suz loves most about kelli’s scrapbook pages is that every one of them adds another piece to the jigsaw that is their life – she never fails to include little details, real life snippets on each page that allows you to get to know her family a little bit better.

Suz chose to base her page on one of the funny quotes her own Alex comes out with every now and then – he loves the tv show Wipeout Australia and out of the blue observed to her one day that ‘if the earth had no gravity, wipeout would be really easy..’   The simplicity and style of Kelli’s page was the perfect showcase for a one off quote and Suz pretty much directly lifted it, only choosing to use  Carolee’s Creations patterned paper instead of Heidi Swapp Journalling spots.  Truth is, she would have even copied the round corners if she could have found her corner punch in time!

weekend inspiration: crate paper

 

The Mia range from Crate Paper combines Nic's favourite colours all in the one gorgeous set of papers and embellishments. Divine deep purple, olive green, raspberry red, chocolate brown and more!

Here Nicole combines the Mia papers and embellishments with a Jenni Bowlin button and tag and flowers by Heidi Swapp and Little Yellow Bicycle to create this gorgeous layout of her daughter Madeleine walking their new kitten on a lead.
The colours are warm yet earthy, the patterns decorative yet understated and the lovely Crate Paper texture adds warmth to the page.

Chris's friend Leisa recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. When Chris saw the Lillian range she decided to create this lovely layout featuring Leisa and her new little boy Samuel. The die cuts in this range were the perfect accent for a baby layout and all the colours tie in beautifully together.

 

The new Orbit range is ful lof spaceships, cute monsters and alien like creatures, however, the papers and diecuts are suitable for a really wide range of themes and layouts. For this page Mel has used the Asteroids die cut sheet of paper as her background and then added a cluster of photos and a few simple embellishments (Orbit glitter diecuts and glitter borders) to complete the page.

 

The computer game 'Spore' has become an addiction for Mel's son James and the Orbit range seemed perfect for recording this memory on paper. The large diecut has been machine stitched onto the page (Transmit die cut) and then a few of the embellishments added with foam mounting tape to help lift them off the layout and create a few different layers.

A big thank you to Gina Rodgers for sharing this gorgeous layout with us. Gina has used a lovely mix of Crate paper die cuts combined with Cosmo Cricket products and a splash of Basic Grey buttons. We loved the sweet photo and the pretty flower clusters scattered across the page.

   

Another beautiful layout by Gina Rodgers. For this page Gina has has used a Crate Paper die cut for the pretty scalloped edge on the lower half of the layout and added a cluster of Crate dies to the right hand side of the photo. The mixed alphabet title completes the page perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing Gina!

Antonia has used the "Sparkle" paper from the Mia collection as her background. The subtle, yet decorative pattern and colours make the perfect backdrop for this series of fun wedding guest photos. We love the finishing touches of felt, buttons and the gorgeous flourishes. Thanks Antonia.

This delicious layout comes from Jenn Emch and utilises the Mia range beautifully! Jenn has used the die-cut paper "Hooked" as her base and embellished with little pieces of pattern from the same range. Thank you for letting us show your sweet layout Jenn.

Here's what Chris had to say about this challenge - "I decided to make this challenge about my husband and his recent excitement about finally registering his project car he has been restoring for the past 4 years.  It definitely fitted the requirements of the challenge because even though I've watched and at times helped with his project I still can't fully appreciate the elation he is feeling now that he has finished his dream car."

Chris has used the SEI Oasis range to create this layout.

 

The challenge to create a page "Nobody knows that .." was perfectly timed with a little known anniversary in Nic's life. Many of us celebrate our wedding anniversary but how many of us still remember the actual date of the first time we went out with our partner? April 13th was a date that was long forgotten until we set Nic this challenge.
Nic had been dying to use some of the new Pink Paislee Winsome collection and chose papers from the Captivating and Fetching collections in her layout.

The Pink Paislee papers have been paired with some older Heidi Swapp Alphas and a newer Hambly transparency. Add this all to new Pink Paislee alphas on Aussie Scrap Source Kraft cardstock and Nic has ensured the moment will always be remembered.

Suz started off planning her page about the fact that nobody but her knew that she hadn’t backed up her photos since she bought her external hard drive, nearly three years ago.  It was supposed to be the backup but it’s turned out to be her only storage for over 45,000 images.  But then she got thinking about other little secrets, the small stuff, little quirks that probably nobody knows.  Like that she hates her nose even more than she hates having her photo taken so she’ll always face the camera rather than risk a permanent record of her profile. Or that the lone bugler sounding out the last post will always make her cry.

So she went off on a bit of a colour-blocking tangent, mixing up some of her favourite patterned papers from Sassafras, BasicGrey and SEI to create a list of her secrets.  For all to see!

scraplift: heidi swapp

It was at a class in Brisbane where Nic Howard was first inspired by Heidi Swapp's masking techniques so she was thrilled at the chance to do her best at lifting a Heidi Swapp layout. Nic created her own 'spotty' background by using the negative leftovers of a 'glossy extras' packet and using the space where she had popped out some large dots, she created a pattern with Tim Holtz distress inks.

Nic has always admired the way Heidi always embellishes her layouts with minimal perfectly placed embellishments and it was this look that Nic wanted to make sure she maintained. She chose several small frames and diecuts and placed these carefully alongside glossy extras, stamped embellishments and a ghost clock. The result was a layout that was decidedly Heidi Swapp with that little bit of Nic as well.

Jaimie first became a fan when she attended classes with Heidi back in 2005 - her fast and fun, straight to the point style makes her style instantly recognisable and is the reason Heidi remains so popular. Heidi's favourite scrapbooking format is 9x9 and while Jaimie thought of creating this LO in that size she decided to go with HER favourite format of 12x12.

Heidi says that most scrapbooking product is scaled proportionally better on a 9x9 format and while scrapping the orginal LO to 12x12 Jaimie found that several changes had to be made in order to make the lift work. For instance there was too much open space that made the LO look unfinished so Jaimie sewed a border on her page with her machine, while this seems a simple thing to do the addition of this frame immediately broke up the blank space finishing off the page nicely.

Jaimie has also added Heidi Swapp decorative tape – it’s something that can be used over and over on any project and never goes out of style.

Steph's scraplift

Heidi has a very clean, crisp style and Steph has always admired the way she places her embellishments and makes them look really funky. Steph took a soft, feminine approach to the layout that Heidi created, and used her Fresh and Free line, with gentle pinks and blues mixed with delicate whites. She added the little frames from the Sassafras Lass new release to give her layout a vintage, eclectic feel and add to the freshness of it.

Chris used 2 die cut cardstocks on this layout and instead of using them as a whole piece she had cut the flower die cut and place it to the side of the layout giving it the appearance of actually being part of the backing cardstock. She has then cut the bracket die cut piece using the top and bottom part of the cardstock on top of each other inking the top piece to show the layering. Chris used the flocked lace under a piece of pattern paper to create a decorative trim.

 

We-R-Memory Keepers Tiffany pattern papers and embellishments are just beautiful, Carole loved the vibrant colours, and the gorgeous stickers to this collection.  Carole created borders with the stickers and ribbon, and then layered the papers and stickers to create cute little embellishments.

 

    

Jaimie says that the aqua mixed with reds and pinks is a sensational combination in We R Memory Keepers new Heart Attack range. Her favourite though would have to be the eyelets and snaps. The different sizes and designs on these little embellishments are very cute and very sturdy. For that something extra and different Jaimie used the WER foil glitter flock transfers, she says they make a perfect addition to any page. The only trouble is deciding whether to use glitter, flock or foil. Lovely

 

Just like this adorable mini album, Gabriella Beck was tickled pink when I asked if she'd share this fabulous creation with us on the blog. Gabriella used the lovely Heart Attack range to transform this Basic Grey chipboard album into a mini master piece!!   Many thanks Gabriella for sharing!

 

Tracey Spencer from Ontario Canada has created this gorgeous page. She says:  "To complete this LO I used 2 punches. First I punched out various squares from the different patterned papers. Then I used a heart punch and cut out hearts from the center of each square. I continued by mixing up all the hearts, inking them and replacing them back into different squares.

I arranged them around this sweet photo of my niece, added some scalloped borders. layered on some chipboard hearts and called it done. :D The I *Heart* U chipboard made a perfect title."  Thanks Tracey, this LO is beautiful.

    

Using the Heart Attack range also is Kim Arnold who shares this delightful layout with us! We love how Kim has distressed the edges of the paper, it's the perfect weight paper to do this with.   Thanks Kim for sharing with us!

 

The lovely Mel Nunn has created this masterpiece to remember the closeness of her children. We loved the way Mel framed her photo with paper, rubons and clustered embellishments.  Divine Mel and thanks for letting us show it off.

book of me: our five senses

Caz has chosen to base her layout on which sense she would miss the most should one be taken away from her. On the way in her journaling you discover what she loves the most about each of the 5 senses.
The softness of the photo is enhanced by the colours and textures in these papers, rub-ons and chipboard shapes from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie and Offbeat ranges.

She writes -  "As a way of choosing my favourite sense I started out by thinking about which one I would miss the most if it was taken away from me.

Sight - I would miss seeing my children grow up, watching them change, grow taller, mature. I’d miss seeing their faces as they excitably told me what they had been up to. I’d miss seeing all that was familiar and loved in my life. I’d miss seeing all those new things that I have yet to encounter.

Smell - I’d miss the kids smells. Impulse, shampoo and hairspray from my dancing girls. Grass, mud and little boy sweaty hair smells from my footy player. Fresh coffee, the perfume of flowers, newly washed clothes, rain as it hits the ground in summer.

Taste - Good food, great wine, the combination of both, made more enjoyable when shared with friends. Coffee, chocolate, freshly made bread, cheese, fresh fruit.

But the sense I would miss the most is Touch.  Jordan holding my hand to walk into school even though she is in year 6. Jesse hugging me fiercely while he sleeps next to me, getting tangled in my hair, waking me so I have to untangle him and try and claim back a small portion of the bed. Darcy subconsciously leaning against me playing with my hair while she talks to me, now 14 and probably too cool to admit that she ever does it. Stroking the kittens soft fur, the rain on my face, the suns warmth on my skin.

Touch is the one thing I would miss the most.

One of Mel's favourite tactile experiences as a child was to play in paint. Whenever the activity was setup at her primary school, it was the messy play area that Mel always headed to first. Unfortunately there aren't any photos of this from when she was young, so Mel used some pictures of her niece and recorded journaling suitable for her 'Book of Me' down the side, explaining her love of touching the paint when she was small.

To create the layout, the background was sprayed with glimmer mist, directly onto the kraft cardstock and then large circles were added from various patterned papers. A strip of Jenni Bowlin crepe paper was machine stitched into position for the title to rest on and a scattering of Hero Arts bling was then adhered around the circle shape.

A very Autumn coloured layout from Nic Howard. Nic captured the five senses theme very literally, taking a day that was truly autumn in nature and taking photos of things on that day that represented each of the five senses.

The colours of the new Pink Paislee Winsome collections were perfect for this layout. When paired with a little copper colouring from SEI and Aussie Scrap Source cardstock in both white and kraft, the senses from the day are captured perfectly in tone with the season.

This week we celebrate the beauty that is Emily Falconbridge’s art.

Jaimie has always been drawn to the fact that Em's pages are family and friend oriented and although Em's work is always Art inspired the focus is never taken away from her precious photos. Jaimie closely followed the design of Ems original page to ensure she got the feel of an Em piece - She used a fancy serviette and using a decoupage technique she adhered it to her background paper.

Buttons, title and a few random sewn strips see this LO finished. While not an Em masterpiece, Jaimie feels it carries the essence of the pages Emily creates.

Emily's scrapbook layouts always have such a loving, warm feel to them and one of the main aspects that attracts Mel to her pages is Emily's clever use of paints. Trying to emulate the luscious, thick paint in the original page however, proved tricky for Mel and after a few different attempts she decided to go with Glimmer Mist instead, spraying the kraft cardstock background briefly before adding the other page elements.

Mel then added several layers of Heidi Swapp decorative tape around the main patterned paper background, machine stitching over the top of this before adding her journaling and final embellishment.

Nic F’s lift:

ic has been a fan of Emily Falconbridge since she saw some of her first articles in Scrapbook Creations magazine about scrapping on a budget. She loved how Emily's focus remained on her story and the creativity rather than how she used product.

What Nic loves most about her scrapping is that she has maintained her own sense of style after many years in the industry, and after increased access to product. She never seems to pile more product than necessary on a layout and her techniques are always unique. Her layouts look home-made and organic and like she gave the process as much thought as the finished product. They're always full of love with the perfect amount of whimsy thrown in.

Nicole pretty much directly lifted Emily's layout here changing colours to suit her photo and featuring a different angle on the concept of Peace. Emily journalled about World Peace whereas Nic took the idea and applied it closer to home saying Peace to her would be if her children didn't fight for one day! Nic also retained her own sense of scrapbooking style by exchanging Emily's trademark mirror embellishments for her own favourite, buttons.

Another Nic F lift!

    

Nic enjoyed lifting Emily Falconbridge SO much she couldn't resist going back for a second project!
After wetting and scrunching a piece of art canvas, Nic randomly applied several different Glimmer Mist colours to mimic the textured background that Emily created on her layout. She then doodled a similar title and text box and added a sprinkling of her favourite little embellishments. Nic adored the home-made feeling of Emily's layout and had a ball re-creating something similar.

What a fabulous range the new Zinnia is! Chris said she rubbed her hands together with glee when she unpacked this range and in particular the amazing lace-cut cardstock which she has used here on her background. The colours in this range are so wonderfully eye-catching and great to work with Chris says. She layered the cardstock stickers and glitter stickers over the lace-cut cardstock to create this colourful effect.

The deliciously girly "Delightful" range is perfect for any little (or big) girl project. Combining all of the essential girly elements - butterflies, flowers, flourishes and glitter, it's easy to see where it gets its name from.

For this page Nicole chose some of her favourite photos of her little Madeleine journalled a suitable quote in a circle and let the paper range do the rest. The lovely water-coloured background was the perfect base, all Nicole did was add a glittery journal card, some hand-cut flowers and butterflies, Glimmer Misted lace and then used a glue pad to stamp a flourish before sprinkling Pink Paislee Pixie Stix glitter on top. Cute and girly achieved with ease!

There has been a population explosion where Jaimie lives and she wanted to create these two cute albums to give as baby gifts. The Little Yellow Bicycle Safari Boy matchbook album is just right for those first photos of baby and the perfect size for Dads pocket for him to show off at work. This very quick album takes minutes to put together with the cover, pages and embellishments all ready to go on the 12x12 page they come on.

Jaimie has added some buttons from the range and two brads to secure the album together.

     

Here, Jaimie used a Tinkering Ink peek-a-boo album and teamed it with the new Little Yellow Bicycle - Safari Boy range of papers, ribbon, journaling pieces, transparent frames and letter stickers to create this very cute album just waiting for those sweet baby boy photos to be added.

To add the sticker title onto the front of the album, Jaimie adhered the stickers to one of the transparent frames and then cut to fit the width of the album. The title looks as though it is 'floating' on the cover, yet it is secured by the transparent background.

  

Chris felt the Zinnia range also lent itself to an Easter look. She has created 3 different little Easter baskets for you to enjoy and possibly re-create yourself. This tiny basket was made from 1/3 of an empty toilet roll. Chris would like to thank Nichole Heady for this gorgeous little idea.

This next basket Chris saw created by Angie Kennedy Juda. This would make a great egg hunt basket for the kids this year.    Chris used the Hero Arts Clear Design 'April' stamp for the egg motif on the front. Chris also used Inque Boutique dual tip blendable markers to colour in the egg and she has put together a little tutorial on how to do that here.

The next two wonderful layouts come to us courtesy of Iris Babao who made comment that she was totally delighted to be working with these 2 new amazing lines from Little Yellow Bicycle. First we have this striking layout using the new Zinnia range. We love the way Iris trimmed the Pink Blossom Lace and placed it to the side of her photo and used it as a wonderful embellishment with the gorgeous felt and chipboard flowers placed on top.

And once again Iris has worked the Baby Safari line into a masterpiece with this very eye catching layout. We love all the little clusters of embellishments that Iris has created. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring work with us Iris.

We are delighted to welcome Andrea Beaumont to the Aussie blog this week. Andrea is on the Design Team for Little Yellow Bicycle and lives in Canada.

Her online gallery has some delicious creations in it and we wanted to share just a few with you starting with this cute little gift card holder created from the "Delightful" range. Isn't that clasp and handle sweet?

Andrea also created this adorable flower card holder. It would be a gorgeous gift.

Using the brand new Little Yellow Bicycle Safari Boy and Girl ranges from CHA this year, Andrea created these beautiful layouts. The colours are fresh and the embellishments adorable.

book of me: our favourite colour

Caz discovered while thinking about this layout that she doesn't actually have a favourite colous but she does have favourite things that are certain colours so she has focused on these and why she likes them. Jeans for example, must be denim, not brown, or pink or any other colour, they must be blue. Her favourite flower colours are purple and yellow.

Her favourite cat colour is ginger like Raphael here, just don't tell Lizzie her tabby who thinks she is the top-cat in the house.  Caz's favourite colour to paint walls is green as she finds it calming and natural. But that would have made a boring picture so she included the next best green thing, a tiny green tree frog.

She loves red post boxes, old red phone boxes, red fire engines and her favourite car was a red one.
And chocolate? Well that just goes without saying. In any shade of brown...

 

   

Although Mel enjoys all colours (except for a strong dislike for purple), red is a favourite for her when it comes to her children's clothes and her own personal belongings (shoes, necklaces and other accessories).

To create this layout, Mel used a piece of patterned paper (Sass Lass, Indian Summer, Pumpkin Patch) and extended the circular design by handstitching a few of the circles onto the kraft cardstock background. The red apple embellishment (Sass Lass, Happy Place) was just too cute to pass up and made for the perfect red feature on the page (plus Mel has a soft spot for apples!).

 

 

Suz had trouble deciding on a favourite colour.  She loves almost all of them, though she agrees with Mel about the purple – blah!  White nearly made it to the top of the list but as it’s technically not a colour, she decided on green as she loves it everywhere – clothes, walls, scrapbook pages and in nature.

Suz has used the back of Crate Paper (the1971 range) as her cardstock and has layered some of her favourite photos in shades of green along with transparent accents (Heidi Swapp, Hambly) that highlight the green underneath.  She loves green with white, of course, so painted SRP chipboard letters in white and stamped on them with a LYB Clear Stamp from the Love Letters line.

Scraplifting Kate meant spending a lot of time on the sewing machine and Steph loved every moment of it !!!! Kate has a very eclectic style and Steph reflected this with her scraplift of Kate's "Little Swimmers" layout. Using the Jenni Bowlin Crepe Paper was a lot of fun, and Steph made these gorgeous little flowers, by gathering up the crepe paper and arranging it into a flower shape. She then sewed them onto the layout and popped the pretty brads in the middle.

The age-old question ‘what would you do if you could not fail’ was going through Suz’s head when completing this challenge. And her answer would have been “pages like Kate!”  This scraplift was all about playing – combining textures and colours and paints and stamps and Suz wishes she had more confidence to do more of this kind of free-play on her own layouts without fearing it might turn out ‘wrong’.

This design was ideal for a page on her recent trip to CHA and she has tried to use where she could all new CHA release product  – from the Tattered Angels compass stamp to the SEI Lovelines bits and Paper Trunk’s new alpha stickers.

A bumper inspiration post this week with heaps of fabulous page ideas from our own design team as well as cherryArte’s talented designers.  Enjoy.

 

Chris almost feels that the Vanilla Vintage range was made with her little darling Annaliese in mind! The papers and rub-ons have combined so beautifully to create this stunning layout centered around the photo of Annaliese on the day she was a flowergirl for the first time. Chris made special mention of how easily these gorgeous rub-ons are to apply.

 

 

The new cherryArte lines = YUMMY in Jaimie's book.  She says: “This is the best range yet. I love that all papers can mix and match easily and the rubons are divine."

Jaimie cut out the flowers and then layered them on top of each other to form a corner cluster to die for. Rub ons were placed over the flowers and the cherryArte chipboard labels attached randomly on the cluster. Jaimie coloured the wilma chipboard alphas with a black pen, applied a light layer of glue and sprinkled the licorice pixie stix over the top.

 

Nicole adores the Deco Hall range by CherryArte, it's her favourite yet! It was perfect for this layout of her little Madeleine a few Easters ago and in Nicole's opinion is the perfect combination of modern and vintage charm. Nic used the Deco Hall papers as her base, and also to cover the Cosmo Cricket blackboard chipboard shapes, then finished with stamps by Pink Paislee, some embroidery and some of the gorgeous new CherryArte rub-ons.

The fabulously talented Linda Albrecht has created these following three LO's. This LO is a wonderful mix of seasonal paper, with the cut out circles creating a scalloped edge.

 

 

Linda has created a gorgeous bathing page, the circular cutout of leaves presented in a garland is a clever and quirky embellishment.

 

 

We loved the layered paper at the bottom of this page which gives the feel of a garden bed. Linda has cut out circles adhering them over strips of paper adding to the garden design and feel of this page. The addition of red brads make perfect apples.

 

 

This cute project comes from Norma Kennedy, she has covered two chipboard boxes and tied them with ribbon. The cherryArte chipboard flowers and brad handles complete this lovely trinket box.

 

 

At first glance you might think Norma has kept this page quite simple however on closer inspection you will see the beautiful detail that makes this page pop.

 

 

Distressed edges, lots of layering and the torn paper which reveals part of the title gives this fun page loads of personality.

 

 

Pams page is a stylish mix of patterned paper, chipboard, layers, rubons and cut out embellishments. Beautiful.

 

 

Clean and simple is the style of this lovely page by Sheri Reguly. On this project it is all about the little things which leads your eye back to the very sweet photo taking centre stage.

 

How fantastic is this design by Pam Callaghan using the new Seasonal range? The colours are so fresh and Pam has created such an eye catching layout with them.  Thanks Pam for sharing this and the next two layouts with us! You certainly have a flare for using CherryArte products.

scraplift: kelly goree

this week we scraplift from the devastatingly talented kelly goree.

caz’s lift…

  

Caz could have quite happily scraplifted every single one of the Kelly Goree layouts that she looked at but stopped when she caught sight of the ginger kitten in this one. It reminded her that she had not scrapped these photos of her very male cat, Raphael, looking totally humiliated wearing a tiara thanks to her eldest daughter.

Caz changed the layout to her favourite 8.5" x 11' size, and even though she tried very hard to put everything on a slant like Kelly did she eventually gave in and straightened it all up like she always does. Caz has used patterned Enchanting patterned paper by Pink Paislee and a chipboard vine in keeping with the jungle title from BasicGrey.

In Carole’s words… ‘Kelly Goree is such a gorgeous designer, and very organised, I can't say that I am the same especially being a 3D scrapper, we tend to let the paper go where it may lol !! but I really enjoyed doing this scraplift.’

Carole used Sassfrass Lass Robotic pattern papers and Journal stickers to create her layout and then added dimension to the robots. She also coloured the Basic Grey Offbeat Alpha Stickers black and dark orange to suit her colour scheme with felt pen.

Chris says: When creating this scraplift of Kelly's using Basic Grey was a must. Kelly is well known for transforming beautiful Basic Grey papers into amazing layouts.

Chris chose this particular layout of Kelly's because she loved the way Kelly created a multi photo layout and yet kept it so simple and elegant. Chris took a different spin on the the smaller photos and decided to slice one photo into 3 different pieces and worked them into Kelly's design.

Chris kept her accents and embellishments simple as Kelly has done and is thrilled with her 'Kelly look-a-like' layout! Thanks Kelly!
