This new collection, 'Indian Summer' by BasicGrey couldn't have been more perfect for this photo of Nic Howard as a youngster. Indian Summer is a bold collection, full of gorgeous oranges, reds, pinks, and purples with a splash of brown/black thrown in. Nic started with a nuetral base from the Nook and Pantry collection and built with the Indian Summer colours from there.
BasicGrey's new products take pride of place on this layout. Take a close look at the doilie, intricately cut lace paper, Nic used the coloured side, as well as flipping it over to use the white side. She also used 'Woolies', layered pre-made felt embellishments, and 'Pops', layered embellishments ready to place on your page. Nic finished the layout with her old favourite, BasicGrey micro alphas, white chocolate of course!
Nic shares another layout with us, this time from the recent Basicgrey release, Lemonade. Lemonade has such beautiful vibrant colours and the papers can be cut apart and images used as embellishments, one of Nic's favourite things to do! We noticed that she used another one of those intricately cut doilie papers - great contrast!
Our last one from Nic today, again using the Nook & Pantry collection! Layers of patterned paper featuring images of the kitchen, doilies, laces, cupcakes and berries feature in this line and in Nic's layout. Nic has again used a 'Take Note' transparency block for her journaling and some element stickers to finish it off. Thanks for sharing, Nic!
Nic couldn't wait to play with this new collection, named 'Nook & Pantry'. When she saw these photos by Jill Geraghty-Groves she knew they'd be perfect, and they were! Nic creates a fabulous boy layout with the versatile Nook & Pantry. We're especially loving the 'pops' stickers and chipboard birdie!
BasicGrey has only just released four new collections, and we are very lucky to have layouts from some of them to feature here on the blog! This layout, created by Nic Howard uses 'Eskimo Kisses', BasicGrey's new Christmas collection! This collection is double sided and Nic tells us it is (really, truly!) her favourite Christmas collection to date. But take a look! Nic used it for a summer layout, it's obviously versatile!
Caz created these CD folders to hold a disk of photos and contact sheets that she is sending to the billets they had stay with them from Canberra. She thought the funky June Bug papers, chipboard shapes and letters from BasicGrey were perfect for the project. She added the black chipboard floral swirls from Cosmo Cricket for contrast.
We spotted this layout while out and about blog hopping, it's by Trina McClune and is created with the beautiful colour soaked Lemonade collection, a recent release by BasicGrey. We loved how Trina framed her photo on one of the 'Take Note' transparency embellishments, again from the Lemonade collection.
Something to note - both Trina and Nic in her first layout, created their pages using the sketch below, two different takes with two different Basicgrey collections, perhaps you'd like to give it a go!? This sketch was created by Trina McClune
We have Australia's very own Nicole Pomeroy to thank for the next two gorgeous layouts. In the first, "X three times" she has used just about all the elements in the Lemonade collection. Papers, Chipboard Sticker Shapes, Rub-ons and Element Stickers all tied together beautifully with stitching.
The second layout is made with the June Bug collection. We love the little collection of elements next to the photo. Chipboard, Buttons and Element Stickers are grouped together to create an eye catching feature that doesn't distract from or overwhelm the beautiful photo.
We couldn't go past this layout by Patricia from Canada when cruising the web looking for BasicGrey June Bug samples. Could it be the arresting eyes of her little man or the clean, simple, yet effective way she has used the June Bug papers and letter stickers. Thanks for letting us share, Patricia.
Many thanks to Leena form Singapore for sharing this fabulous layout of her little boy. The cluster of June Bug accents creates a vibrant addition to the page and how stunning does the Navy Doillies background look?
Finally, thanks to Ranjini for letting us show you this sweet Valentines day card. She has paired the BasicGrey Lemonade Chipboard with one of the B-sides from the BasicGrey June Bug collection. She then added a chipboard heart covered in glitter, some bling, some tiny heart shaped embellishments and bows to create a card that anyone would be thrilled to receive.
