We’re thrilled to be able to announce that we’re now stocking the inimitable 7 gypsies – a name in scrapbooking synonymous with vintage, ephemera and fabulous innovation. Here are a few samples our design team were excited to be able to get started on.
Suz altered one of their fabulous printer’s trays which come in two sizes and two colours. This one is perfect artist trading card size. Suz has used the beautiful Victoria range of patterned papers as well as a heap of gorgeous embellishments to create a project she’s excited to hang in her scrapping space.
Nicole has been a long time devotee of 7Gypsies. The perfect mix of her favourite colours and vintage influence have always appealed to her creativity and style.
Here Nic has used the Venice range of patterned papers and embellishments. She matted her photo on a piece of Junkitz fabric for tactile appeal and to add warmth to this very maternal layout about her son and how much he has grown. Adding distressed techniques to the papers and letters ties all of the elements together and adds even more warmth. She cut a strip of metal for a border, used the fabric tapes and stickers as embellishments and cut some elements from the transparencies. The patterns on the 7Gypsies papers are reminiscent of fabric design so lend themselves perfectly to this style of scrapbooking.
Well Louise felt like Christmas had come early for her when she had the joy of creating with the 7Gypsies Gypsy Market range of papers, embellishments, and OTP products. This particular range are an luscious mix of vintage and the orient. The colour combinations of the papers , and especially the flocked papers; are strong, yet elegant, luscious and so versatile that they lend them selves to both contemporary and vintage styles of scrapping and papercrafting.
With that in mind you can just imagine how much fun Louise had in creating the following layouts, cards, tags and mini album. For this particular layout Louise didn’t let the fact that it was flocked stop her from adding subtle colourful touches with Glimmermist. To add a special embellished touch to her page she has cut the leafy flourish from a coordinating paper.
To demonstrate the versatility of the tags from the Gypsy Market Ephemera pack, Louise has punched out coordinated butterflies to use and embellish her page with.
As you can see from these two layouts that Louise has created, the coordinated Brad pack provided a wonderful range of flocked brads that blend beautifully with the colours in the Gypsy Market paper range.
Despite this particular patterned paper having a strong vintage and masculine 'vibe' it still lends itself to simple and contemporary layout design, and photos.
The designs of the alphas and ephemera pack is so perfectly coordinated that the creation of both these tags, and the cards is almost delightfully effortless.
When creating cards and tags, don’t hesitate to add texture and added dimension that will provide a wonderful extra tactile sensation to the receiver; the Binding Ring Dangles are just perfect for this!
As Louise mentioned before; the design and coordination of the range of Gypsy Market makes the creation of off the page items, such as this mini album, almost effortless. You can use a 'little' [as Louise has here] or a 'Lot'. However the one thing you can be assured of is that it will come together easily with wonderful creative effect.
