The only problem Caz had with using the BasicGrey Sugar Rush range of papers was trying to decide which of then to use on her layout. She compromised by using a strip form each of them and cutting a spray of leaves from the lace paper. Caz roughed up the edges of each strip a little and sewed some of the edges down with some machine stitching to add some texture to the layout.
At first glance, Nook and Pantry seemed to be quite a feminine line. However, Kathie's quite good at taking what seems to be feminine products and lending them a masculine twist. It comes as a neat trick, when you only have boys to scrap!
When you look more closely, the papers are amazingly versatile. The stronger colours in the range are beautifully vivid. The chipboard embellishments are really fun, with little ice-creams, cupcakes and fruit. And the decorative brads are so colourful and fun. They almost look like lollies, they're so cute. So keep them out of reach of little fingers!
Louise just couldn’t wait to start creating with the new Basic Grey Origins line. The colours are just so fresh, and glorious to work with. Typically Basic Grey have an amazing range of coordinated embellishments [brads, stitched brads, buttons, chipboard/diecut shapes, glazed brads, clips, alphas/stickers, element stickers, fabric flowers, and transparencies, and rub-ons], and die cut papers to go with the patterned papers; which always always make creating layout/cards almost effortless.
As you can see from this layout, and the next 4 Louise has used only a small selection of the fabulous range of patterned papers and embellishments; however there can be no doubt about what a wonderful coordinated range Origins is, with endless creative potential.
For these cards Louise has used the Doilie as a mask to create a lovely flower painted effect for the card backgrounds. To further enhance the flower pattern of the doilie, she has sprayed Glimmer Mist into the centres of the flowers. The coordinating rub-ons and chipboard shapes were then used to finish off the embellishment of the cards.
Nic Howard showcases both the superb drama and the subtlety that is the new BasicGrey Kioshi line in this gorgeous and intricate layout. Full of the girlish charm that only butterflies and sprays of rainbow flowers provide this paper range is also sophisticated and stylised.
This next gorgeous layout comes all the way from Sandra in Iceland. The Origins range from Basic Grey is perfect for those outdoor scenic photos. Sandra did not have any letter stickers to go with her layout so she simply inked some Pink Paislee stickers so that they matched.
Karan Gerber from Canada created this gorgeous layout about herself using the BasicGrey Sugar Rush range of papers and Tattered Angels glimmermist and screens, Thankyou so much for allowing us to share Karan.
Closer to home, Deb Godley has created this gorgeous page showing the emergence of a little clown in her family. BasicGrey's Lime Rickey line is great for making pages that have colour and energy. We love how Deb's used circles and the shooting star to create a fun and happy page.
We are delighted to share a page by Kim Arnold using the BasicGrey Lemonade line. The yellow backdrop evoke memories of sunny Spring days. We love how Kim's added the sprig of berries and the softly floating butterfly at the top of the page to add movement to the page. And a little hint of gauzy ribbon peeks from beneath the photo mat, adding softness and charm.
Another layout by Kim Arnold, this time using BasicGrey's June Bug line. This is one of those pages where you can't help but just smile. The combination of those fun photos, with the bright orange doilies paper, and that beautiful fun title just says happy, happy, happy.
