Janine was excited to play with the new Avignon range by 7 Gypsies. From the moment she saw the lovely text, music notes and newsprint papers in this line she knew she wanted to mod-podge napkins to these papers! She mixed and matched the mod-podged napkin paper with the other papers in the range in this crazy patchworked design. By adding the rose napkins she added another splash of colour to the palette and added extra vibrancy to the layout.
For Suz, 7Gypsies is all about the details. Their papers are gorgeous and versatile, and a range like this one – Barcelona could be used on any number of themes. But it’s the finishing touches that brings out the best in a layout – here Suz has mounted her main photo on a transparency which gives it an automatic focus, and then added fab bits and pieces like the metal page border and 97% Complete Stickers.
Venice Clear Stamps bring the page together – within the set there’s a perfect one for a small amount of journalling, the flourish above the transparency, which Suz stamped with Stazon so she could colour it in to bring out the colours in the patterned papers, and the grid which she stamped directly onto both transparency and main photo.
