Nicole has been a long time fan of October Afternoon so you can imagine her excitement when she saw this new "Fly A Kite" range. It combines all of her favourite scrapbooking loves - patterns reminiscent of fabric design, colours with vintage influence but a modern twist and a homeliness that is warm like Nanna's Sunday roast!
Here she found that the range was a perfect match for buttons and chipboard embellishments in her stash from the "Material Girl" range by Cosmo Cricket and used trims by 7Gypsies, Webster's Pages and We R Memory Keepers to finish off.
Suz was thrilled to have October Afternoon papers to play with now they’re being represented by Aussie Scrap Source here in Australia. She particularly fell in love with The Thrift Shop papers with their bright, beautiful, slightly random, slightly shabby, colour palette and design.
With so many to choose from with the double sided papers, she decided to use almost all of them, but still kept it simple with this restrained colour blocking design. She used a quote her mother uses to her as the basis of the layout and couldn’t resist the Twiddleybitz lamp post to carry the theme through, which she has painted to match the Vanilla cardstock, and then wrapped with ribbon and rubons.
We are very pleased to welcome back to our blog, Davinie Fiero from Redmond in the United States. Davinie said that this paper line was one of her favourites released at CHAW because she loves the quilted pattern and the colour palette suits her daughters perfectly.
She loved the patterns so much that she used large pieces of her favourite prints to bring richness to this gorgeous page. We love the warmth and homeliness that Davinie has created and aren't the little scallop punched pieces in the border the perfect "frame" to her photos. Thanks again Davinie.
This delicious looking layout has been shared with us by Tanisha Long from New Jersey in the USA. Tanisha was instantly inspired by the patterned papers creating this gorgeous birthday banner which allowed her to incorporate many patterns without overwhelming the project. Absolutely stunning, thankyou Tanisha.
We are delighted to be able to share this gorgeous layout by Canadian Lydia Jackson. The colours of the October Afternoon papers were the perfect choice with these fun photos and Lydia has chosen round elements as her embellishments to echo the hula hoop theme. She has added pop with the coloured stripe and her design works perfectly incorporating the infamous elements "triangle" on her page. Thankyou for sharing this fabulous page with us Lydia.
