With this post we welcome Carol Thompson to the Aussie design team. She has been creating amazing projects for Twiddleybitz and we were lucky enough to have her accept a position as our specialist Twiddleybitz designer here at Aussie Scrap Source as well. She has created this first project on canvas, using one of their stunning new trees, birds and other bit(z)! She has paired them with the gorgous happy Crate Paper Lillian papers and embellishments.
Welcome Carol!
Caz fell in love with the Twiddlybitz Combi the first time she saw it being a big fan of the movie Little Miss Sunshine and combi-vans in general. She decided to decorate hers just like the one in the movie and began the laborious process of covering it in BasicGrey paper. A tip for you guys out there from Caz – If you don’t have a lot of time to kill, go for a painted finish!
Caz cut a couple of surfboard shapes out of chipboard and covered them with some groovy We R Memory Keepers papers. She hasn’t decided what to do next, depending on who the recipient will be she is toying with the idea of either adding photographs of her family pushing and jumping into the side door of the combi aka. Little Miss Sunshine or maybe decorating the side of it with little birds and the words “C’mon Get Happy” for a Partridge Family Fan.
The soft, small scaled geometric designs of BasicGrey’s Kioshi line seemed perfect to Suz to use on the Twiddleybitz Funky Townhouse. There is a level of detail provided with the house, from the window surrounds to the gorgeous little garrett window supports, but it’s still a fairly quick and easy project.
