The warm palette of BasicGrey’s Max and Whiskers collection is perfect for reflecting upon the sunny nature of our little pets. In her layout, "Cute (But Odd) Dog", Kathie reflects on her dog’s rather neurotic personality (not that you’d believe it from that sweet photo!).
Kathie’s based her page on a piece of the neutral patterned paper from the collection and just loves the slightly grungy look it has. To add to that look, she’s used an old, empty sheet of BasicGrey letter stickers as a stencil to ink a random pattern onto the background in place of a photo mat. She’s decorated her page with a combination of the co-ordinating felt woolies and rub-ons.
Caz recemtly met her brothers new girlfriend and her sweet baby Matilda for the first time on a visit to Qld. Caz decided to make Jessica a mini photo album as a Hello gift. The gorgeous Kioshi range was just perfect to add to a silver/grey album she had purchased earlier. Caz decorated each page with the patterned paper, Pops layered stickers, canvas tags and transparencies. She added the few photos she had of matilda and left the other pages blank for Jess to add photos and journaling to.
We spied this layout in the 2peas gallery. It has been created by Kim Watson, Cape Town South Africa. Kim is a current member of Creating Keepsakes magazine Dream Team. Kim's used BasicGrey's Origins line here. The ornate die-cut background is a solid backdrop and works so perfectly with Kim's photo. And we adore how Kim has added the pops of blue to her page with that stunning flower (look at all those buttons and dangles - what a clever idea) and the script title on the photo. Thanks Kim.
This gorgeous layout is shared with us by Lisa Warren, Wollongong. The soft coloured papers Lisa's chosen from the Nook and Pantry line work so perfectly with her 1970s photo of Lisa and her first pet, Boz Scaggs.
Lisa's cut up all the various patterns on the striped "Cookbook" paper to create her patches and strips - what a great effect. And the crochet blue circles behind the photo - the ones that add a real sense of nostalgia to the page? - they're actually paper, cut from that same sheet of pattern paper. Thanks Lisa!
