Suz has been waiting for an opportunity to play with this gorgeous Technique Tuesday set, called My Little Princess for a while now. It’s an A4 sheet which includes a ballerina as well as the princess she has used in this layout, a castle, frog, wand, stars and crowns as well as the perfect words and phrases to go along with the , like the ‘once upon a time’
Perfect for all kinds of cards and invitations as well as layouts, these stamps are delightful. Suz has chosen to use them here to highlight one of her daughters favourite bedtime books, about a princess and a seamstress.
With their “this is life” theme, the new Ali Edwards – Life in Pictures stamps were ideal for Kathie’s page. She participated in a photo-a-day challenge during the early months of this year. On this page she has taken her favourite photos from January, and written some brief notes about what was happening in each of them.
The background for the page is a mixture of 7gypsies patterned papers, which Kathie has softened by washing paint over the top of them. She then added her photos, stamping, and other bits and pieces to decorate.
Here Ali Edwards has allowed us to share her take on her “Life in Pictures” stamp set, and the simplicity of her layout is a stark contrast to Kathie’s above, but it certainly shows the versatility of the stamps and how they can be used to suit a range of styles.
We love the symmetry of Ali’s layout with the bracket shape of the journalling mirrored by the photo on the other side.
Another layout by Ali Edwards, this one makes use of the Love, Ali set of stamps and celebrates her gorgeous baby daughter. Thanks Ali!
This sweet page comes from Crystalyn Thorsen, in Portland, Oregon (USA). Crys has used the "Vintage Lace" border stamps to create the strips above and below the photo grouping. She's used one of the stamps to create a pattern directly on the background. Then, she's used a second stamp to create a border on a separate strip of patterned paper which she's pleated before adhering on the layout. This is such an effective technique for adding dimension and texture to your page with stamps!
This is another layout by Crys, featuring the Ali Edwards stamp set "The Story". We love how Crys used the circle from the stamp set to clear emboss rings on the background, which she then misted. A few touches of green and aqua, and some more stamping, and she has created a striking "about me" page.
And a final gorgeous girly layout also by Crys! Here she has used two sets of alphabet stamps – the large Provence Lower Case and the scrip is from Start Me Up – Addison set which includes upper and lower case alphas and numbers as well as some image stamps – a perfect starter collection. The beautiful birds come from the Aviary set, and Crys as also used one of the fabulous Technique Tiles Brackets to frame her stunning layout. Thanks so much for allowing us to share your talent Crys!
