Iris found it fun to work with the Cosmo Cricket 6x6 paper pads. The benefit of working with smaller papers is that you get the to add more patterned papers in your page without making the page look cluttered with so many designs. Here Iris cut strips of paper to create a ray of colourful patterns coming out from the picture to mimic the rainbow. She then punched the edges for a more interesting look.
Sue is a big fan of Cosmo Cricket and she loves their recent DeLovely release. The colours are really fresh and the prints lovely to work with. Sue recently had a visit from her two nieces and she took the opportunity to try to capture a few photos of the girls with her own two children. Of course trying to get four kids to smile and all look at the camera is easier said than done! The result though was photos that make Sue smile and she has journalled about how she wishes her nieces lived closer.
One of the great thing about Cosmo Cricket collections is that they always include what is called, an Elements sheet. The Elements sheet consists of lots of different quotes and images that can be cut apart and used to create the embellishments for your page. It is a very cost effective way of embellishing.
April Yap loved the patterns and colours of this line, but they were just not her usual colors. So she decided to cut and mixed them up a bit, tone down the bright colors with kraft or white/cream backgrounds. April really love how it turned out! After punching out the border (the strip that said "Aren't you just the tweetest!"), April just couldn't bare to discard the tiny strip leftover. So she cut it up and used it to hang those tiny alphas on top, just like a banner.
Wendy McKee has used the DeLovely collection to create this gorgeous collage of art. We love how Wendy has mixed all of the papers from the collection and added lots of tiny details to her work. It really is a delightful piece of art and showcases the Cosmo Cricket papers beautifully. Thank you so much Wendy for your inspiration.
