Iris loves everything Tim Holtz. But since TH products have deep rich tones, she has to find a way to make it fit her girly pages. Here she combined Lost and Found papers and several metal embellishments with stamper's anonymous and added tones of pink by adding Prima flowers and pink mists and paint.
Well Louise's scrappy heart did miss a beat or 2 when she found that she was going to create with the new Tim Holtz Ideology paper and embellishment range!! Well who's wouldn't?!! Louise has created some layouts with a difference; but isn't that what all Tim Holtz products inspire you do do??? First up Louise has created a rectangular layout using one of the non-patterned papers from the Retro Grunge range.
To get the effect you see she has sprayed the cardstock with water, crumpled it, straightened it out, and then inked the folds, and when dry added a drop or two of Glimmer Mist.
For this particular layout Louise has sewn around the border with some string, just to give the grungey background paper a bit of a 'visual lift'. The added masking tape, which has also been inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, adds some grungey 'funk'!
To add something a 'little different' to this layout, Louise has created in a 6 x 12 format, and added large WeR Memory Keepers eyelets and a string hanging tie.
This final project is a very masculine take on gift tags, with a difference! With the line of Ideology embellishments Louise just couldn't resist creating some special gift tags for some upcoming Fathers Day gifts.
Louise adores the Tim Holtz range of products and was able to achieve this gorgeous modern vintage look with minimal effort! Starting with a plain box, she covered it with some Lost and Found paper, stamped it with various Tim Holtz stamps and inked it liberally with distress inks. She then added a strip of the tissue paper and a strip of the filmstrip to continue with the vintage feel of the box.
The ornate plates, swivel clasps and locket keys added the finishing touches and look right at home nestled amongst clusters of silk flowers. A perfect keepsake to store old photos, movies or memorabilia in.
