Iris had a blast playing with this 6x6 template from The Crafter's Workshop. All she needed was some white cardstock and her favourite Glimmer Mists to create this brick background. She ended up doing four cards in one sitting with this fabulous template which is perfect for creating backgrounds for cards and scrapbook pages.
Jane positioned the largest heart shape on the 6x6in heart template on cream card and sponge a sand coloured ink over it to fill in the area, concentrate the ink around the outer edge and leave the centre lighter to give depth. She then placed the smallest heart on template over the inked heart, then filled this area in with mahogany ink. Papers and stickers used are Webster's Pages.
On these two cards, Jane created custom backgrounds for her cards with BasicGrey Curio papers and two different techniques using Crafters Workshop Templates. On the first one, she used the 6x6 vine template on reversed BasicGrey Curio upholstery paper using Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather. With the second card she placed the Crafter's Template 6x6in template on reversed BasicGrey Curio, and outlined the template using a white gel pen. Jane notes that you need to ensure you let the gel dry before removing the template as it may smudge!
We would like to thank Irma Peredne for this beautiful layout. This is what she has to say about this layout:
"Raising two very wild and crazy boys, I seldom get to scrap romantic, pretty pages. My eldest son featured in this page, is always a willing model to my impromptu photo shoots. For this page I've used The Crafter's Workshop template Cherry Blossoms TCW177. I coloured in the template with colour pencils." Thank you Irma for this wonderful source of inspiration.
Here is another stunning page by Irma where she used the 6" x 6" The Crafter's Workshop template (Sunburst TCW166). This page is about an emotion - the moment when your child is born and you hear his voice for the first time. Irma tried to capture the glorious nature of that experience in sunny, bright colours, and a big dose of optimism.
