Late last year Louise created this Mini Laptop bag from a Recyclable shopping bag. Originally the bag had been stained and damaged but she cut it up and kept the saved the unstained pieces for a 'Creative Rainy Day'. What was left over she used to create this funky mini laptop bag. The masked pattern on the front panel was created using the negative from a corrugated alpha sheet from Jillibean Soup. So with this in mind Louise knew exactly what she wanted to create for this brief.
Recently some creative friends of Louise started a new Indie Green Upcycled clothing business, and it is from their creations that she got her inspiration to make a library book bag. Once again Louise has used a recyclable hessian shopping bag, and has used various masking templates to create simple funky patterns on the front and back panels.
Louise decorated both panels on this bag just to give you double the inspiration. For this particular pattern Louise has used a fabulous Crafters Workshop Template, with a combination of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and Studio Calico Mister Huey's Mists.
For this particular panel Louise once again used the Jillibean Soup Corrugated alpha sheet negative as a mask with a red Studio Calico Mister Huey mist. She has further embellished it with super funky embellishments, also from Jillibean Soup.
This Library bag is super easy to create and would be a fabulous creative project you might consider doing with your children during the holiday break. What could be more fun and satisfying for the kids than to create their own library book bags. At the same time you could use the opportunity to teach them all about the benefits of recycling and upcycling.
