Suz used the softness of the Hollywood Vogue colour palette to showcase the drama of this photo of her daughter, who routinely likes to dress and apply make up for no other reason than for her mother to take photos… this was the evil fairy look.
As her expression so perfectly suited that of the gargoyle, Suz cut out some of the design of the patterned paper, inked and adhered it with foam tape to stand out a little from the page. She has made use of the beautiful co-ordinating Fabric Ribbon and trims, and created her own flower from them as well as adding a few Prima ones.
Kathie has used Webster’s Pages’ Lullaby Lane collection to create a set of beautiful vintage styled nursery cards. The images on the Lullaby Lane patterned papers lend themselves beautifully to cards. With a bit of fussy cutting and some distress inking to enhance the vintage feel, Kathie’s fashioned together a delicate baby card, a magical birthday card for a little princess, and a fun boy’s first birthday card.
Secretly, Kathie’s quite glad that most of her friends have finished having babies and most of the kids are heading off to school, as she’s not sure that she could bear to be parted with these cards now that she’s finished them. They might just sit on display at her house for a while.
Jeni O’Connor is an Australian living in Canada at the moment. We fell in love with the work she’s been doing with Webster’s Pages Spring Market Collection. Today we feature two of her layouts. In her layout, “Spring Dance”, Jeni has made great use of the vellum sheet that forms part of the Spring Market range. She’s cut the sheet in two and re-assembled it to better suit her layout design but you wouldn’t know because it’s been done so skilfully.
Jeni’s “This is the Life” layout is vibrant and eclectic with its fussy cut accents and carefree splatter painting on the background. You might notice that the photo on this layout has a particularly arty feel to it. Jeni tells us that she applied beeswax to it, to give it texture. She’s making a video about the technique, which is due to appear on the My Creative Scrapbook website if you are interested in trying it.
Nadia Cannizzo, in Sydney has created this next layout using the Sweet Season collection. The photo treatment in Nadia’s page caught our eye – those colourful lollipops really do stand out against the high key black and white photos. Nadia’s clustered stickers from the image sticker sheet with tulle, lace and flowers. She even topped one of the stickers with white beads - they look good enough to eat.
And now we thank all of the Webster’s design team who allowed us to share some of their own fantastic layouts to further inspire you.
From Anabelle O’Malley: This layout is about my sweet friend and her husband on their wedding day. I used the new Ladies and Gents line on it. The papers are perfect for handcutting elements and I love the beautiful colors. I used one of the new Fabric Tickets along with some of the new fabric Threads and a Pinwheel flower.
Angella Peardon: Using Country Estate, base card was crackled then decorated.... I wanted to create a whimsical easter card for giving.
Emeline Seet: On this layout, I used left over Webster's Pages pattern papers from cut outs, punch out negatives. The papers are double sided and so well coordinated; piecing them together is a breeze!
Emma Trout: This layout uses the new Webster's Pages Yacht Club line (and a little Ladies & Gents). I mixed traditional patterned papers with Webster's digital images printed onto white cardstock. I guess I am dabbling in the world of hybrid scrapping too! I love how soft this line can be when mixed with a white cardstock background. As always, the designs of this range are simply beautiful.
Gabrielle Pollacco: I just love the Webster's Pages Ladies & Gents collection, it's got all the elements that we've come to love from Webster's pages, beautiful botanicals, bold designs and I just love the embellishments that are offered to coordinate, ...lovely cameo's (Whimsies), pretty trims and the new Princess Petals, love them! For this layout of my youngest daughter I wanted to emphasize the out doors so I added loads of paper butterflies to embellish the page.
My name is Gerry van Gent ( http://gerryscrafts.blogspot.com ) and I attached my layout "Follow Me". For this layout I used two of the new WP collections "Ladies & Gents" and "Country Estate". My layout was based on a canvas sheet layered with Gesso and Glimmer Mist. I did lots of fussy cutting and hand-stitching.
Ivana Camdzic: I created this layout using the beautiful NEW Spring Market and Yacht Club collections from Webster's Pages. I thought that the yellow and green hues perfectly complemented the lush nature of the Tuscan landscape. I loved how easy it was to mix and match papers from different collections to create a layout that is unique and fitting to my photo. I also love how the stunning papers lend themselves to so many possibilities, and on this layout, I used different cutting methods (stenciling and fussy cutting) to layer all the beautiful colors and shapes in a framed fashion around the photo. To finish off the layout, I added in a couple of sparklers and whimsies, as well as my fave cardstock alphas - Webster's Pages Storytellers! Hope this inspires you to get creative today!
Jaz Lee Soo Hui This is a layout of me and two of my kids {although I have 3 kiddos hehe}. Featuring Webster's Pages Spring Market collection. Did lots of cutouts from the beautiful papers and layerings ;)
I am Julie Walton and I am on the digital team for Websters Pages. I am sharing a layout with you that is 100% digital using the new collection, Spring Market. When I create pages digitally I like to make them look as if they are paper layouts, so I will do alot of shadowing, layering and cutting, just as you would do with a paper layout. I am a lover of the backsides of papers, and with this layout I did exactly that, used the backside. Since it was busy I put down some paint first and then my design, the paint really helps the design pop and not get lost in the pattern. These are my two sweet grandkids, Jenna and Trevor with Sadie, our newest yard friend...they love her! I love having the flexibility of having the Webster's Pages papers in digital format because I can use them over and over and never run out!! Be sure to check out the InspireMe site for monthly digital challenges!!!
Larissa Albernaz: Here’s my layout "Life´s Portrait" - a Webster´s Pages hybrid layout using the new digi Country Estate collection, Spring Market botanical cards and Life´s Portrait in which I portrayed myself and told about the way I felt at that moment of my life - a sad moment. I added some paint splatters, cut outs and a lot of layers to create this page.
My name is Laura McCollough and I'm on the Webster's Pages Design Team. Here is a layout I made about my dream to have a home on Lake Como in Italy!! We have stayed in Bellagio, Italy the last two summers and have fallen in love with Lake Como. We plan to go back this summer as well and always have fun looking at homes on the lake and dreaming...
My name is Mitsue Iwata, one of the DT member for Webster's Pages. This layout is created using the the latest digital collection, Ladies' & Gents Line with the super newest digital tag "Love" as the title. This digital tag will be released on April 1st, 2011. I think this collection represents the image of Webster's Pages and love the vintage touch to the design.
Stacy Michaud: I used the bright and very fun Trendsetter collection on this layout! Icreated a banner using the fabric tags and stickers. I’m always so inspired by all the little elements that Webster's has to offer!
From Steph Devlin. She used the Trendsetter Line above and Country Estate Line & Embellishments in “Pure Love”
