Today we welcome back a familiar, talented name to our design team. We’re thrilled that Chris Millar has agreed to return and become one of our resident card-making specialists!
Chris's family recently returned from a family holiday in Borneo. While she was there Chris collected many of these handcrafted wooden key rings from the markets. She didn't want to just put them away in a draw but couldn't use them all as key rings, so the 7 Gypsies Artist Printers Tray was the perfect solution for displaying them as well as a couple of photos from the holiday. She chose to use the Echo Park Splash range to go along with the theme of the photos taken on a tropical island.
With a tiny bit of trimming the Echo Park Splash journalling paper was a great fit for the sections within the tray and Chris also trimmed a couple of pieces from the Echo Park Splash 6x6 paper pad to fit also. The cardstock sticker and alphas from the same range helped accent her photos and key rings as well as a couple of Prima and Zva flowers and Little Yellow Bicycle Jewel Stickers.
Chris picked up this adorable heart shaped jar whilst on her holiday also and transformed it into another memory of the holiday. Chris took the sunset photo from their hotel room and tucked it into the back of the jar. She had another little wooden house key ring and placed this onto some gems her daughter bought also from Borneo. The little scene will remind the family of the stilt houses built over the water that they saw on their holiday. The coral and shells were also collected from Borneo.
Chris decorated the jar with some Echo Park Splash Cardstock stickers, Prima and Zva flowers and a bit of kitchen twine.
