Janine had never decorated a 7 Gypsies Printers Tray before and found it a wonderful experience. In many ways it is quick and easy as you know that you have set sizes within each of the compartments to decorate, so it is somewhat similar to creating a lot of little cards and then deciding on the correct placement of them within the tray for balance and design. Janine used the brand new Authentique ‘Uncommon’ range of papers for her tray and loved them.
The large floral print was perfect for strong accents, while the finer prints allowed for wonderful layering. By adding some white Martha Steward doily circles and building with contrasting black damask paper, Janine was able to create layers of embellishing within her tray.
To finish it all off Janine went straight to her Prima stash for some gorgeous flowers and some of the new Shabby Chic Resins, which worked perfectly with the design.
Janine created a tag to sit on the front of her Memory Jar, which is designed to hold baby/child memorabilia with little envelopes inside the jar.
Janine found the best way to fix her floral decorations to the jar was using a hot glue gun as it sets so quickly and holds in place firmly.
Janine created these little envelopes for storing things like hair from a child's first haircut and and little pocket for their baby teeth. The grow card is to record the age and height.
