Louise was more than a little daunted by such a large OTP project LOL :) but in the end still kept her approach to decorating it fairly simple. Louise has used a lot of the 7 Gypsies product packaging [corrugated board] to break up the 'white space' and then gave it a coat of white gesso.
The distressed cardboard and hemp string, along with random sprays and splats of Glimmer Mist help to give the background interesting visual texture.
Louise has then clustered her embellishments; a lovely variety of Prima, Tim Holts and 7 Gypsies, around her photos and title.
Louise so loves the idea of Memory Jars, she loves that the creative scope of this fab idea and loves that you can use soo many elements when decorating your jars that help to symbolise/tell your story. For this Louise has committed her 'Memory' to paper, shredded it and then stained the shredded strips of paper with coffee. .
She has then created a nest within the jar with the shredded 'memories', added beads for bird eggs, and added a gorgeous bird embellishment and peacock feathers to complete the jar interior embellishment.
To embellish the outside of the jar Louise has used some Hambly Washi tape, florists mesh and Hemp string. Hanging off the Hemp string are some divine Prima trinkets, one of which when opened up is a locket, which Louise has popped in a baby picture of herself; this completes the 'memory' story.
Louise has continued her new love of memory jars to these cute and funky little jars. With the left over shredded 'memory' strips Louise has curled them up with a quilling tool and popped them into the little jars, and sealed them away with a cork stopper.
