Louise just loved getting the opportunity to play and create with the Quilling Creations products. Louise thought long and hard how she could incorporate this beautiful papercrafting technique into her simple/quirky style, and decided to do just that 'keep it simple'! For this particular layout Lou has used a perfectly simple quilling pattern by making large white circles with her quilling tool, two of which she has pinched and shaped to fit inside the negative space of the Prima rhinestone leaves.
For this particular layout Louise again created large circles with the white paper strips, and shaped them to look like the Hambly leaf rubons. Louise has coloured them with the new Tattered Angels Inchworm chalkboard glimmer mist. If you look closely you will also notice that Louise has used the quilling tool to create the letter O for her title, which has been coloured with Grape Ape chalkboard glimmer mist.
Suz is a first time quiller, and used the Quilling Creations Cupcake quilling kit to make these divine little cupcakes on her first attempt, so she can assure you it’s surprisingly easy. The kit contains easy to understand basic quilling instructions, as well as the more specific quilling patterns for this project. It’s made even easier with the use of the Mini Mold which allows you to shape your cupcakes to perfection. Once you have mastered the basic quilling pattern you can take your embellishing in any direction. Suz couldn’t resist playing with graduated colour and glimmer misted some of her neutral strips with varying saturations of Cherry Limeade Glimmer Mist to create the shaded cupcake above.
Thank you very much to Joelle for allowing us to share this layout which has a most wonderful quilled bird and branch! So much amazing and intricate quilling involved here!
This is another beautiful example of a simple, modern quilling design. Thank you very much to Pam Thorburn for allowing us to show this beautiful card using the quilling techniques to create a fabulous flower.
Finally, we thank Kathleen Glossop for allowing us to share her fun and funky layout. We just love the way she has used quilling techniques with patterned paper to create her flower and heart embellishments.
