We’re starting off the new design/school year with a new card series here on the Aussie blog, called 10 Reasons to Send a Card, and each week we look at one of those reasons! February is of course the month of love and tomorrow is Valentine’s Day so it’s only fitting that we start with Valentines cards.
Louise W created this set of three cards by mixing the new Kissing Booth and Little Black Dress paper ranges, both from Basic Grey. By using black cardstock as a base, she added a vintagey, more masculine feel while still retaining some feminine detailing with the recurring bird and heart theme.
Suz’s daughter wanted to give out little Valentine’s gifts on Valentine’s Day and so they got to work creating these gorgeous series of cards. Suz used the Prima Ruby Violet range which was perfect for the mood of the cards – affectionate and cute rather than smoochy! She cut out heart shapes which her daughter helped stitch together filled with sweets as a little gift for her friends.
You don't have to have valentine or lovie dovie pattern papers to make a card for your loved one, Jane has used Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe collection to make these two cards, she even covered up a portion of a sticker so it would just show 'sweetie' to complete the sentiment!
Louise W found this beautiful set of three cards in one of the online galleries and immediately fell in love with the layered details and soft colours. While each card is unique, all feature the same basic paper line as a base and were created by the very talented Ivana Camdzic. You can see more of her stunning work on her blog.
They’re counting down to Valentine’s Day over on the Basic Grey blog and how cute are these cards created by the talented Rae Barthel. She has combined the Kissing Booth and Picadilly ranges for this happy valentines look.
They are having a big Love Month over on the Crate Paper blog! We found the above ideas from talented design team members and lots more so be sure to check it out.
Marie Ramirez from the Hambly blog came up with these gorgeous little notecards, perfect for a quick valentine gesture.
