Martha Stewart brings out the coolest gear for us crafters. There’s a great variety to pick from. Leeann decided to play with the embossing powders as she is a bit of a newbie when it comes to stuff like this. Leeann stamp and embossed a couple of winged images straight onto the cardstock. She decided to step it up a little bit and heat embossed the chipboard bird and cage and used the red embossing powder on the star.
The end result is definitely cool with a raised surface. Leeann also used a couple of Martha Stewart punches, birds on a wire and a heart shape.
Suz decided to give her Tim Holtz tree of life a new look and covered it in dozens of butterflies cut from the gorgeous Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly. She cut them from a variety of similarly toned green and blue patterned paper as well as Tim Holtz Kraft papers and some golden Hambly transparencies.
Deciding to gild the lily even further, Suz treated each butterfly with a different finish – using her Martha Stewart Embossing Powders for a smooth glazed look or covered in different coloured glitters for extra sparkle. This is such a pretty idea and there are endless options ringing in the seasons with different looks – perhaps Martha Stewart snowflake punches for wintertime or poinsettia for Christmas!
Virginia Lu created this stunning card using the red embossing powder by Martha Stewart. Thanks so much for letting us share one of your creations.
