Leeann couldn’t wait to get scrapping with this line 100 days of summer by simple stories. What Leeann loved the most was all the diecut papers and borders. Leeann took her inspiration from these papers. She wanted to showcase them as well as photos. First Leeann made her own negative from a trimmed sheet of white cardstock gave it a light mist. Layered it onto the pattern paper and started to arrange the die cuts and stickers. Once happy adhere all the die cuts and photos under the negative, added some machine stitching for extra detail.
Leeann also added machine and hand stitching to the negative and then adhere the negative in place using 3D foam for dimension. Leeann finished the page off by layering stickers and punched shapes from the papers.
The Baby Steps range from Simple Stories co-ordinated perfectly with the sweet photo of Louise W's youngest son. She created her own embellishments by fussy cutting the hot air balloons out of the paper and adding some thread to attach it to the fussy cut heading, to give it the appearance of flying. Some Prima flowers and diecut scrolls finish the look and add softness and movement to the page.
Tina Walker shares a couple of pages with us using a couple of lines from simple stories. She has used the life documented line here and we love how she has layered all the die cut cuts and borders lengths. Teaming it with a fabulous photo from the past!

This fabulous sign was created by Kim Holmes and uses the new Aweso{me} range from Simple Stories to create a warm, yet masculine look. The large type, subtle inking and layering make it very clear it's no girls allowed! You can see more of Kim's work on her blog.
The vintage spools and trinkets used by Laura L. Weber on this beautifully altered clipboard, co-ordinate perfectly with the Simple Stories Life Documented range of papers. Louise W adored the dimension and vintagy details that added the sweet finishing touches to this masterpiece.
Finally We loved this set of cards created by the talented Natalie Dever using the Simple Stories Happy Day collection. With bright colours and touches of fibre, these cards are full of depth, dimension and fun!
