2012 has been a hard year for Kim and her family. Kim has chosen to document the tough times with a layout with no photos, but rather a cluster of envelopes and pockets in which she has recorded her hidden journaling. Kim says that although the creation of this layout was hard and involved a lot of tears, it was also cathartic.

For her layout recording the good times, Kim chose to focus on the most positive highlight from 2012 - her little sister's wedding - and the fact that she got to be there with her as Matron of Honour.
Kim felt that the bright happy papers in the October Afternoon Woodland Park range, whilst not at all wedding themed, were just perfect for this pretty and happy layout.
Kim created this layout after the "bad times" layout and says that it was a beautiful balance to be able to think about this wonderful happy time while creating this layout. She knows that in the future, the journaling in her "bad times" layout will be just as important (or more) than knowing how happy she was to be with her sister for her wedding. That is why it is important to scrap both the good times and the bad.
