We thought we’d take a look at alternative ways of documenting and scrapbooking our lives. There’s a big move towards simplicity in scrapbooking with the project life concept – using divided page protectors in an old fashioned photo album concept, but adding journalling and embellishments as well.
This is a great way of memory keeping the everyday stuff, and you can still do it weekly, monthly or whenever you get around to it! We gave our design team the challenge of looking at different ways of recording moments. Leeann Pearce kicks off the series this week, with iphone photos – the ones that often never make it onto big scrapbook pages.
When Leeann was given this assignment project life she was a little unsure where to begin. She’s generally not one to record the everyday events. Plus the whole project life concept seemed like a big commitment and she hates it if she was to fail by not keeping up especially when she forgets to take her camera! So instead Leeann gave it some thought and came up with using photos off her iphone, she never forgets that and is always capturing those random everyday moments.
Once Leeann had her game plan sorted it was then time for the fun part. Leeann has used the WeR Memory Keeper’s photo sleeves, which come in an assortment of designs. She has used a mixture of products from Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Echo Park, Studio Calico. All Leeann had to do was print and cut the photos and pattern papers to fit each pocket. Then simply embellish each one.
