Trim two pieces of cardstock, 1 to measure 5” x 1.5” and one to measure 5 ¼” x ¼”.
Score the thicker ‘green’ piece at intervals of 1.5”, 2.5” & 4” (I’ve turned my piece over and have drawn lines with pencil so the scoring could be seen)
Round the corners on the shortest end with a corner rounder
On the 4” score line punch 2 holes approximately ½ cm from each edge
Adhere thin ‘red’ strip along the center of the green piece and trim off excess. Don’t forget to allow for folds
Trim a piece of ribbon to approximately 5 ½” and thread through holes, securing on the inside of the purse flap
Secure flap of purse in place by using a Queen and Co. sassy sequin and mini brad. Pierce through both the flap and front of the purse to hold it all together
Lolly is then placed inside and can be secured with a little bit of repositional double sided tape
Depending on the size of your lolly or chocolate you may need to adjust the measurements. For this larger chocolate I used the measurements of:
Green piece – 5 ¾” x 1.5”
Red piece – 6” x ¼”
Scoring at intervals of 1 ¾”, 3” & 4 ¾”
Hope you enjoy creating these Lolly Purses!
