Our weekend inspiration post this week features a fabulous collection of layouts using papers and embellishments from the Pressed Petals range. And with this post we are particularly excited to welcome the addition of three new Design Team members, names that need little introduction as their amazing talents speak for themselves - Steph Caskey-Devlin, Nic Howard and Donna Wild. Here we share their first layouts created for Aussie Scrap Source, using some beautiful Pressed Petals products.

Donna loves this photo of her eldest daughter...and rightly so! It is bold, dramatic and a little 'in-your-face', but in a fun kind of way. Pressed Petals Chip Chatter alphabets are the perfect accompaniment to a large photo such as this. They are dramatic and bold, but can be softenend with a little sanding and distressing if you need. To balance out the layout she has positioned a Monday's Metal black metal frame in the opposite corner. These are not too bulky and sit nicely partially underneath the photo itself. The distressed finish fits perfectly with the lightly sanded Chip Chatter and also with the 'Black and White' swirl patterned paper. To further emphasise her daughter's fabulous eyes in this layout she has also added a few Hero Arts gemstones following the lid of her eye. The result is a high contrast, bold layout with a touch of elegance and femininity!

Steph Caskey-Devlin has created magic on this layout by designing a floral paisley motif and cutting the shape out of Pressed Petals Patterned Paper. She has also extended the white rub ons with her own design using a white pen.

Chip chatter can easily be painted to match other elements on your page. Here, Nic Howard painted the title to match the cream colour in the stripe patterned paper.
She loves that Chip Chatter is self adhesive - no need for glues and it comes with sanding sticks, so that if a colour is stronger than you wanted it on your layout, you can sand the colour back a little.

Nic Wright has used a mixture of Pressed Petals papers to create this layout. From one of the papers she has cut out only the words and used them above and below the photo. Nic has used a mixture of Pressed Petal Chip Chatter to form the large title, and a Mondays Metal for the other part of the title. Instead of using the Pressed Petals ribbon tag as a whole, Nic cut the ribbon part off and just used the end of the tag.

This was a left over photo Melissa Goodsell had of Bella that she wanted to scrap by itself. The warm tones of the Pressed Petals swirls paper were perfect with Bella's Indian outfit that she was wearing in the photo. Mel was really impressed at how easily the metal words (precious) bend - super easy to mould into a shape on a layout!

Rachel Axton has used a mixture of Pressed Petals Scrap Metal and Large Chip Chatter which she has covered in Pressed Petals patterned paper. She has outlined each letter with a fine black pen to make them stand out even more. On a plain white background Rach has used two different coloured strips of Pressed Petals papers to duplicate the stripes of the train colours.

Suz Doyle’s daughter Phoebe’s delight at finding a baby caterpillar in a vase of flowers is recorded on this page, and is the perfect subject matter for the Pressed Petals patterned papers and Monday’s Metal frame, both of which have a botanical feel. She has used – and altered - three different Pressed Petals alphas on this page – the Scrap Metal Rustic Minis which have been painted still allowing some metal to show through, and two different sizes of Chip Chatter. One has been covered in co-ordinating patterned paper, and the large P has been painted and stamped.
