The Chalkboard trend has entered it's way into the scrapping world.  Stacey was excited to work with the new collection 'Memorabilia' by Teresa Collins Designs, they have hit the mark with this Chalkboard collection.  This collection is so versatile, add any colour to it and it's going to work.  The gorgeous 'frame' paper was cut out and layered around her photo. The Chipboard pieces where also a fun addition to the layout and the stamps, they are a must have for your stash.

Stacey has also created a card using the Memorabilia collection.  The black and white with a hint of mint truly makes a statement.

 

Leslie Ashe is a new addition to the Teresa Collins DT.  She has kindly shared this lovely layout with us featuring the Memorabilia collection.  She also shows off the other colours of the collection.

 

 

There’s always an elegance to Teresa Collins products, and it’s that elegance which is showcased so beautifully in Dedra Long’s layout above.  We loved all the little touches but especially the file folder she has incorporated into this page, making room for journalling and beautiful quotes from the Memoriabila collection.

Designing with…. a new reader’s challenge!

 

 

We’re starting a new readers challenge here on the Aussie blog and we’d love you ALL to join in!!  Each week we’re focusing on trends from CHa and a different product, or product type, and we’ll spend the week sharing great examples of the use of that product.  By the end of the week we’re hoping you’re inspired enough to create your own layouts to send into us, which we’ll feature on in a post each Monday.

This week we’re looking at one of the hottest trends from CHA Summer – delicious Chalkboard, as well as stickers in general – alphas, elements, icons – all our old favourites.  You might not be able to use these exact ranges on your projects because they’re fresh off the CHA shelf, but of course we want to see our own suppliers used in your projects.

The Far & Away collection from Teresa Collins, although designed as a travel range, is perfect for scrapping other photos too.  She loves the envelopes in the range and has made a feature out of them, scrapping a photo of her son Bailey, at age eleven.  The pockets are perfect for adding larger amounts of journaling to a page.

Jill combined the Teresa Collins Stationary Noted Chipboard Elements with the Stationary pack and buttons to create a little book of "wisdom" and inspiration for her 19yo son.  
She found the colours and themes so easy to work with and are perfect for both masculine and feminine themes.

Christmas Cottage is a beautiful, timeless collection from Teresa Collins.  If you like traditional colours, like Sue does, then this is the collection for you.  Sue has used the gorgeous textured papers from the collection along with the stickers and brads to create her page.

How perfectly the Tell Your Story paper flowers and layered butterfly stickers make the most wonderful embellishments for this simple, yet very appealing set of cards that Chris has created as a gift for her daughters teacher.  Chris used the Sizzix Framelits circle set to create the little peekaboo hole for the embellishments and used some fabulous Hero Arts wooden stamps for the sentiment.  Finished off with the gorgeous trims from the Tell Your Story line these cards are adorable!

Amanda Jones is a design team member for Teresa Collins and has kindly shared this meaningful layout with us.  Amanda says that despite the versatility of the latest lines, the papers and embellishments seem to draw her to scrapbooking those little family moments. The things that seem small now, but will be big things one day. The Now and Then line had the perfect colour combo for Amanda's photo.

Sue loved the richness of colours and patterns in the Fabrications collection.  Sue teamed them with photos of her son Bailey, playing xylophone at a school concert.  Sue utilised stickers from the collection along with chipboard stickers from the Crate Paper Storyteller collection, to embellish her page.

Chris thinks Teresa Collins has done a magnificent job of creating the Spring Fling range.  The colours of the range along with the die cuts, stamps and bling all complement each other beautifully.

Iwona Palamountain has created this gorgeous card using the Teresa Collins Fabrications and Die cut border.  The fabrications range has a lovely canvas effect and is double sided.  Iwona has also used the Hero Arts Hydrangea stamp as the main focus on this card.  Thank your for inspiring us Iwona.

Louise W used the Teresa Collins Notations range to create this art gallery themed layout. Using the diecut frames and a fussy cut large frame, she's given focus to the smaller pictures without detracting from the main image. The background was created with a combination of texture paste, acrylic paints and mists and reflects the messy style of two young artists.

 

 

If you want to create some special, one of kind Christmas cards this year then the Teresa Collins 'Christmas Home' collection is an excellent choice. The designs of the pattern papers are elegant and rich in colour. Couple them with the die-cuts and rhinestones for an extra special card to give this Christmas.

 

This beautifully soft layout from the talented Steph Devlin utilises the details of the Teresa Collins papers perfectly. Using diecut shapes and hints of black, she's created a layered and detailed page that just screams "girl!"

 

Kristii Lockart has used the Teresa Collins papers beautifully in this sweet little girl layout. The handmade roses co-ordinate perfectly with the little crown accent and black crystal swirls but don't detract from the gorgeous photo.

 

 

Wow, we don't know which is more fabulous, Noel Culbertson's use of the the Haunted Hallows range or the amazing costumes in her photos! Noel says she loves the mixture of all the wicked images in this range, skulls, poison labels and witches as well as the softer option of polka dots, chandeliers, pumpkins, newsprint and spider webs.

She also loves that the Haunted Hallow trims have a lot of variety yet are perfectly matched, in style and color, to the line. Please thank Noel for sharing these 2 gorgeous layouts with us.  You can find more of her fabulous work here.

Teresa Collins new range of papers is enough to make a girly girl swoon! Janine ADORES the "Timeless" range with its elegant mix of pastel pink, soft grey and black! Janine has used several different Martha Stewart punches to create lots of elegant borders to her papers and finished them off with inking, distressing and sewing. The flocked flourish was perfect for hand cutting around and creating a magnificent swirling element across the page.

Janine finished off the page with lots of Teresa Collins chipboard pieces and a few Prima flowers for a truly girly layout.

 

Jane founds these papers to be perfect in making her sons 14th birthday card, you have to create something cool for that age!! There were plenty of images left on the papers to fussy cut and make for his friends birthdays! Even the inclusion of a glitter star is cool, don't you think?

How Funky and Fun is this Collection by Teresa Collins "Celebrate", Carole loved the bright and bold pattern papers and the gorgeous colours and the trendy Chipboard pieces. Carole created this fun layout of her son Chaise and the colours where perfect for this layout.

 

 

 

 

 

Caz was shocked when she realised her daughter would be turning 16 in just 4 months so she decided to make this album that she created using the gorgeous Teresa Collins Freestyle range into a keepsake for her. She used one of the pre-covered Chipboard Albums and added various Chipboard Elements to create the title for the album. Caz then added pages to hold photos and messages from her friends.

 

 

 

 

 

And because we just love bringing you projects designed by the designer, here is a gorgeous mini album from Teresa Collins herself.  Entitled ‘Gratitude’ she has used the gorgeous orange and black colour palette of the Giving Thanks line of patterned papers – beautiful flourishes and damasks that would be appropriate for any number of both masculine and feminine themes.

Teresa Collins’ new releases stay true to her trademark style with her new releases – including this fabulous Notations kit that contains everything you need to create an album – what a wonderful gift for a single theme album or a starting out scrapbooker.

 

countdown to christmas day 9 – teresa collins

 

 

 

 

To stop the endless question of "How many days till Christmas" Caz decided to turn these Teresa Collins Design Chipboard Covers into a Christmas Countdown. Caz cut each of the numbers for the days from the one sheet of
'Countdown' paper and added them to a page containing a Christmas quote of some sort. These vary from funny ones, to quotes from movies, to lines from her favourite Christmas Carols. Two hinged rings hold the whole thing together at the top and to keep it from falling flat, Caz punched two holes on the bottom of each of the covers and threaded a length of ribbon through, tying it off with knots. To store the album you simply undo one of the knots, flip the pages inside the cover and tie it all back up with a bow.

Janine adored the soft baby blue and white of the Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Boy range. She wanted to use the bracket shape of the chipboard album covers and then proceeded to layer different papers in the range. There are so many elements in this range that can be handcut out to use, it is perfect for embellishing with the paper also.

Janine also set it all off with a delicate touch of Prima fabric flowers, Zva swirls for a touch of sparkle and the backing from a Prima felt Devine as the white was perfect for the page.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

Teresa Collins,... is just the fabulous type of Classic design that Louise loves to create with! Louise had a ball with the transparency Frames making them a feature on all three of her layouts! Added to that Louise has used coordinated stripes of the Teresa Collins range of Welcome Home patterned papers to further embellish her layouts. The classic provincial chairs were just the perfect compliment to finish of the second of her layouts.

 

 

The Chic Bebe Boy range is more versatile than just baby pages, as the talented Jaimie Harper has shown here. In this simple designed page, Jaimie has captured an image of teens, and given more depth by the use of a black background.

 

 

 

Donna Harvey has created a darling baby boy page using the Bebe Boy range with matted layers of paper and set off with Prima Swirls and Liquid Pearl dots.

 

 

A big thank you to Julianne McKenna-De Lumen for allowing us to share her gorgeous layout of her DD. Julianne has used a glorious combination of the new Teresa Collins range to create a beautiful Girly layout! Aren't those flowers just divine!

The new Teresa Collins transparencies are just the right size to add an eclectic mix to a mini album. Here, Kathie has teamed them with Teresa Collins Family Matters papers and die-cuts to create a mini album about her family vacation over the Christmas holidays.

The transparent pages are located throughout the album, and are slightly larger than most of the other pages, which means you can see through them even when the album is closed, and get a peek of what lies underneath.

A clock transparency sheet has also been used to create embellishments and decoration for the album. Kathie cut some of the clocks out and adhered them on the plain corrugated pages, which gives consistency through the album. She also cut out some of the clocks and backed them onto cardstock to form circular embellishments that tie in perfectly with the die-cut chipboard charms.

   

"Teresa Collins' Sports Edition range was the perfect choice for Nicole when creating this layout to document her daughter's first sports day at school.  She used a base of Scenic Route grid paper and combined papers and chipboard elements from the Sports Edition range.

She was able to create her title by cutting letters from the sheet of patterned paper named "Game On" and added a journal block and cut words from the same range.  A splash of coloured buttons, a sprinkling of embroidery and a cute stamped border complete this gorgeous page."

 

 

Jamie Harper, from Phoenix USA, makes the most gorgeous projects with Teresa Collins products. She has made this classy countdown to Christmas album using Teresa Collins’ Tis the Season collection. Jamie tells us that the cute little ornament on the front cover was inspired by Donna Downey.

Jackie Gallagher, from Washington USA, created this gorgeous project for her Thanksgiving table. The crisp black and white with accents of orange/red looks supremely elegant and perfect for dressing up a table. And we love the use of the clock transparencies as embellishments. Thanks so much for allowing us to share your project Jackie!

A weekend away with a few of Nic's favourite friends is on the horizon and Nic can't wait. She knows there will be fun and laughs, and as usual with a group of scrapbookers, there will be no shortage of photos taken!
When Nic saw the new Teresa Collins 'Friendship' Collection, she knew it'd be perfect for a mini album, and what better present for one of her best friends, than an album ready to slip the photos into.

This album has been constructed entirely from the Teresa Collins Friendship range, with the addition of a small amount of corrugated cardboard. Using a total of 5 different papers, Nic cut and layered, using the occasional Teresa Collins transparency in between the pages. She mentioned it was easy to do, with many of the tags and labels printed on one of the papers, and all papers being double sided, there was very little investment needed!

Nic finished off by using a Crop-O-Dile to punch through everything, placing a few rings through and the album is done! Such an easy and fun project to make, all it needs now is those piles of photos after a girl's weekend away!

With so many heritage photos still to do, Jaimie has put the Documented range at the top of her list of go to product. Teresa Collins new range is to die(cut) for. Each page can be used as either a background piece or cut down to use the diecuts tags and journal spots on your page so much versatility. Jaimie has added the clocks transparency as an overlay on her page to represent the passage of time.

 

The mix of classic graphics and warm colours of Teresa Collins' Family Matters range was appealing to Nicole immediately. The gorgeous golds mixed with red and black lends itself to family photos of all themes and age groups.

This range has divine patterned papers, journal blocks, diecut file pages and beautiful glossy chipboard accents. Nic was particularly impressed by the patterned paper - "Families Are Forever" as it is a whole printed sheet of quotes on one side and the other side has two full alphabets ready to be cut into letters and used on your pages as a title or date like Nic did here. The perfect way to collect alphas for the cost of a piece of patterned paper.

Nicole created the kraft background by masking with Tim Holtz masks and applying paint and distress inks...

 

     

Mel decided to create a cookbook as a gift for a friend with the Haute Cuisine range from Teresa Collins. She has restrained from writing up recipes inside the book, so that it can be filled in at a later date by the recipient

The cover was created by spraying a Technique Tuesday chipboard design (Classic) with Glimmer Mist (Forest Green) and then adding 4 layers of clear embossing powder over the top before adhering onto the page. A diecut charm was positioned in the centre of the mini book (Basic Grey Scallop album) and some Bsaic Grey bling added around the centre circle.

Inside the cook book, Mel kept the design simple by using a mix of patterned papers and embellishing each page with several products from the Haute Cuisine range - cookbook charms, paper and diecuts.

 

Petrina McDonald has created this gorgeous layout using a Teresa Collins diecut to hold a section of her journaling on. We loved the heartfelt story behind the layout, the darling photo and the sweet ribbon ties on the diecut.

 

Another big thankyou to Petrina McDonald for sharing this striking page of her son finding numerous treasures including coconuts, bones, shells and a rotten fish. Notice how Petrina has thought outside the box and turned the Teresa Collins diecut on it's side to create a bracket on top of the photographs - so cool!!
