weekend inspiration: we r memory keepers

 

We R Memory Keepers has an ever growing collection of products from punches, washi tape, twine, patterned papers and more. Leeann adores their twine and washi tapes in particular. On this page Leeann made her famous lasso's from twine, using them as a nest for her photo. She also used the washi tape as a border for the page and to cover some wood veneer triangle banners.

Jane started this card by playing around with the placement of the stickers, she found that they were easy to unstick and replace elsewhere, then Jane decided to use one of the chipboard words and add black alphabet letters to create the sentiment on the card, she also trimmed one of the border stickers in halves and added them to the top and bottom layers of the paper to give more detail.

As you can see Jane’s favourite product of WeR Memory Keepers is their embossed stickers! Once again Jane layered the stickers into a lovely arrangement and added black alphabet stickers to complement the occasion. Jane loves the papers in this range as well because they are soft and subtle in their designs which helps complement the embellishments.

The delicate patterns and soft colours of this range (Tres Elegance) were so perfect for this picture of Janine's daughter.  She loved working with these papers and knows she will be using the doilies a lot more in the future!!

 

 

 

Suz used the super cute Wer Memory Keepers Cotton Tail range to record this years Easter memories. She couldn’t quite fit all her favourite photographs onto a single page, so decided to make an add-on half page (It’s cool that WeR make dividers to fit all sorts of layout sizes!).

The WeR rubons create a simple but perfect title and she has highlighted it with the gorgeous Sew Easy – Vine design.

 

Larissa Albernaz created this stunning page using We Are Memory Keepers, Love struck Collection. We adore the texture she has created along with all those wonderful layers of goodness! Thanks for sharing Larissa.

How cute is this collection Friend’s Furever by WeR memory keepers. When Leeann saw the little 4 x 6 pad she decided that this was going to also be the starting point of inspiration – a mini book. . This mini album was also for her daughter Storm. One of storms dreams has been to own a dog.

Now that they lived on a farm her little dream came true. Inside the mini pad, is a mixture of pattern papers and a check list of doggy activities. Perfect for Storm to teach Lexi a few tricks. Leeann has given this mini to Storm with a few extra embellishments she can add when she starts to fill this in. It’s now her little keepsake of a beautiful friendship.

 

Jane loves these We R Memory Keepers 4x6in paper pads as they are perfect for making cards, she used the matching stamp set 'arrow' to enhance the paper then use the speedometer image to create an embellishment. The building background was hand drawn by Jane and the cars were cut from one of the papers.

 

Jane has shown us a very easy way to create a flower for your card using the We R Memory Keepers small stamp set, just select a light coloured ink pad for the solid circle image then stamp the circle motifs on top with a selection of ink pads that match the papers, trim with a circle punch, layer them on top of each other as shown and add one of the fancy metal flower brads in the centre and viola!

 

 

Pamela Young shares a few projects with us who also has used the "friends furever" collection. We love how the embossed tag embellishments are used to help tell the story.

 

 

On this card Pamela Young has also used the sew easy stitch piercer - hearts by WeR Memory Keepers. We love how this adds the finishing touch to this friends furever card.

 

Finally, we also love this simple but totally cute idea of embellishing a jar fill with doggy treats using the "Friends Furever" collection. Thank you so much Pamela for letting us share, more of your amazing work.

Sue has started (very slowly!) scrapping some of her wedding photos. She decided to create the pages in an 8 1/2 x 11 inch format rather than 12x12. This has allowed Sue to keep the pages fairly simple but beautifully elegant. The Tres Elegant range from We R Memory Keepers consists of lovely soft patterns in shades of dark cream, apricot and white and was perfect for the timeless style that Sue had in mind for her pages. The embossed stickers in the range are particularly lovely when used to accent pages.

 

The 72 and Sunny line by WeR Memory Keepers was a lot of fun to create with Leeann said. She loved how the colours really popped on the Kraft card stock.   Leeann loves a bit of stitching, machine or hand so the ever so handy Sew Easy Stitch Piercers by We R Memory Keepers added the finally details to this page.

Louise was a little daunted when she received the new Yankee Doodles collection from We R Memory Keepers, but not having anything particularly 'patriotic' to scrap didn't stop her creating this sweet and cute layout of her youngest son.

By creating a large star from the background paper and doing some fussy cutting around the doodles, she utilised what would normally have been thought of strictly as an American 4th of July type of look into something totally usable for so many themes of photo's.

 

Jane used the papers from the WeR-41775 Travel Light 4x6 pad, stamp WeR-41784 images on white card with black ink and cut them out. The plane was coloured with WeR Yanky Doodles doodle pens which added some sparkle and are lovely to use she said! A WeR Yanky Doodles large star brad and string were added to complete the card.

The completed work was layered on ASS-TCS-067 Denim and ASS-TCS-017 Cranberry card.

 

 

Jane stamped WeR-41758 Tres Elegant clear stamps Blossom on ASS-TCS-034 vanilla card using a brown ink and then it was cut out as shown. It was mounted on a sheet from WeR Tres Elegant 4x6 pad.

Two images from WeR Tres Elegant banner images were stamped on vanilla card using a red and brown ink, it was then cut out and attached to the blossom stem using string. A strip of paper from WeR Fiesta 4x6 pad was added to the bottom and a row of WeR-41763 half pearls with string was added on top. Jane then layer the piece on folded ASS-TCS-041 chestnut card.

 

 

This adorable piece was made by Ingeborg Dijkstra, the colours of the Nonsense collection are so bright and cheery, perfect for decorating a jar full of hot chocolate ingredients!!

 

 

And here we leave you with a few pieces of inspiration from the We R Memory Keepers idea gallery.  The two layouts above use the Travel Light range of patterned papers and accessories, obviously perfect for holiday and travel snaps, but many of the patterns are far more versatile than that. 

And this wonderful notebook makes stunning use of the Tres Elegant range, which is pretty much exactly what it’s called.  Elegant and soft and chic, and with colours that could work with both masculine or feminine themes.

Iris loved the stitched cardstock of We R Memory Keepers. To emphasize the stitches, she cut out the edge of the paper and laid it over another patterned paper from the Merry January line. The Hero arts block stamp provided a nice and subtle background to her page. hand-cut patterns and prima vines finish off this sweet page about her daughter having a "fancy breakfast" during one of their trips.

 

 

 

 

Oh my did Louise have a blast with this breif. Louise loves to include elements like sewing into her layouts, so using the WeR Memory Keeper Sew Easy was a dream for her. There are a fabulous range of stitch styles available, and the piercers are very easy to use. Louise loved that she was able to take a 'freestyle' approach with the handle tool. This opens up the creative possibilities enormously.

 

 

The beautiful embossed papers to We R Memory Keepers White Christmas is just so beautiful, really lush and beautifully textured. They also have a gorgeous range of cardstock stickers, tags and alphas which worked really well with this layout of Carole's. Christmas layouts are always alot of fun to create, and this collection makes it that little bit easier.

 

When Louise saw the Funfetti range from We R Memory Keepers she knew exactly the photos to use with it. These photos from her son's 4th birthday party have been lurking and waiting to be scrapped for a while, but the bright colourful papers with a hint of glitter were just the perfect partner for them.

By using a neutral cardstock as a background, she was able to tone down some of the bright patterns to keep the photos the focus and by fussy cutting some banners and layering the sticker shapes with foam tape, she has created a layout with lots of dimension and a fun, whimsical touch.

 

This beautiful layout by Megan Klauer just makes you want to let loose and have fun with your scrapbooking style. These gorgeous colours come from the Maple Grove line (and how good is it that they include the word “Autumn” rather than ‘Fall’?!

 

The warm colours and clever design made this stunning layout from Mirelle Divjak really stand out in the gallery. Louise loved the combination of papers used alongside the Jillibean Soup alphabet to create an eyecatching combination.

The small details like the hand-drawn stitching and pleated paper strip add interest without overpowering the page, and the slight sepia toning to the photographs make the whole layout both interesting and visually pleasing.

We R Memory Keepers Retro Glam is a very bright and funky colour scheme, and Carole loved all the glittered flowers, perfect for embellishing along with the glittered alphas and lovely lace trim, fun for your girly layouts.

 

 

Carole also created this fun card using We R Memory Keepers Retro Glam, all the glitter and flowers make it so easy to create a pretty card with, finished off with the Lace Black Trim.

 

Iris had fun creating this page about her daughter's reunion with her first doll. Iris worked with a white base and misted it, painted it, and stamped on it to create a fun and colourful base for the beautiful papers and stickers from WRMK Retro Glam.

 

Debbie Fitzgerald created this bright and fun double layout using the We R Show & Tell Collection, and as you can see what an adorable layout, with plenty of embellishing and such gorgeous photos, thanks so much Debbie for sharing this layout with us.

Aida Haron creates a bright and cheerful layout that matches the fun character of her daughter. Hand cut clouds, vertically placed title, and layered embellishments take this beautiful layout to a whole new level of texture and visual interest.

Michelle Lindenmayer created a fun and energetic layout with the WRMK papers. She used strips of patterned paper to create the base for her page and then added a strip of photos as well. Fun chipboard shapes and a title adds dimension and detail that finishes the page off wonderfully.

The name of the paper range says it all!!! This is a marvellously bright and fun range of papers and embellishments With the colour range you would be able to scarp an assortment of occasions ranging from 'a day at the beach' to a child’s birthday. Louise just loved creating with a little more colour than she is used to. The Scrapbook Pad pack that she used has the most perfectly coordinated range of patterned papers, chipboard alphas, diecut shapes and embellishments.

Louise got it in her mind that she wanted to create a range of layouts and cards with a focus on a single monogram, as she wanted to highlight the wonderful glittery chipboard alphas in the pad. As you can see from these layouts and the next she has used just the single lowercase alpha to title/embellish her page. The other embellishments were either taken from the diecut sheet included in the pad or shapes cut from the patterned papers.

 

With these cards Louise has continued her focus on the single alpha/monogram. Included in this pack also is a sheet of smaller alpha stickers in both upper and lowercase, in a coordinated polka dot pattered paper in an assortment of colours.

72 & Sunny is a fantastic summer range of papers but Sue thought it would be perfect for scrapping some baby photos of her new nephew. The 'You are my Sunshine' tag made a cute title for the page. Sue cut off the tag top to make it into a circle, sewed around it in black thread to add interest, and mounting it on top of the scalloped circle she cut from one of the papers.

This glorious single layout was created my Natalie May who comes from South Australia! Natalie tells me that she has just come back from a lovely holiday in Qld, and couldn't go past using these bright and fabulous patterned papers from WeR Memory Keepers to scrap her holiday photos with!! product focus: flocking

 

The main thing Nicole loves about adding flocking to her pages is it's instant ability to invite the viewer to touch it! The irresistible urge to do so engages the viewer on an extra level and adds an instant warmth which is something Nic loves.

On this page, Nicole created the corner flower flourish, the dot border and the word "Meow" from flocking produced by We R Memory Keepers. Included in the flocking packs are sticky rub-ons which you apply in place like any other rub-on, then overlay a sheet of flock, foil or glitter. The result is a delicious and clean velvet finish and the beauty of applying it this way means it can be added anywhere to your page plus there is the added benefit of having a choice of colours.

 

 

 

 

Janine fell in love with the Anna Griffin papers especially her flocked papers as they add so much texture to the page. Janine immediately knew she wanted to cut out the flocked butterflies to make a feature on her page featuring her adorable baby boy. You just want to reach out and touch the velvety butterflies on her page.

When Kathie saw that the 72andSunny collection included the images of both a frog and a turtle, she figured it was perfect for a page about a trip to the turtle pond while her family was on holidays at her sister's house recently.

The only problem was that she didn't have photos. Not to be put off by such a small detail, Kathie’s used a photo she took about ten minutes beforehand at the neighbouring playground and “inserted” it into a home-made turtle pond.

Kathie drew her design on a sheet of scrap paper first, then transferred the elements of her sketch onto coordinating cardstock sheets from the collection. She’s used elements cut from the Forecast paper for the clouds and little animal friends in the layout.

 

 

Suz had the beautiful We R Memory Keepers Vintage Blue range to work with for this project.  She loved the embossed die cuts and layered titles which all work together to make a layout come together quickly and easily.  The patterned papers include gorgeous embossed and glossed images like the butterflies and leaves, which she cut out to frame the top of her photo.

 

Hard to stop with just one layout, the gorgeous saturation of colour and fabulous images make this Vintage Blue range ideal for everyday cards. 

 

 

 

Carole created this fun Springtime layout using the gorgeous We R Memory Keepers "Hippity Hoppity" Collection. Carole loved all the gorgeous layered chipboard elements and stickers to this collection, just so adorable, and can be used for either fun layouts such as this one, or for all your Easter projects.

 

 

 

  

Carole created these fun Easter Cards with her leftover bits from the We R Memory Keepers "Hippity Hoppity" Collection. The bright funky colours in this range are perfect for this Easter project, and then fun little diecuts and stickers are just so cute.  Though they’re sadly a little late for this easter, they’re well worth stashing away in your inspiration file for next year!

 

How cute and creative are these two cards by the very talented Peet Roeven, using the "Nonsense" Collection by We R Memory Keepers. I love her style with all the gorgeous detail, and stitching, just beautiful Peet, thankyou so much for sharing your talent with us.

 

Carole Maurin from Perpignan, France has used WeR Memory Keepers' Twirl range to decorate a tiny plastic bag. Carole used the shape of the bag as a template to cut paper to cover it. She then hand-cut shapes from other papers in the range to use as embellishments. To give the project lots of dimension, Carole’s used 3D tape to adhere the houses and the flowers. The end result is just gorgeous, we’re sure you’ll agree!

 

Charity Hassel, from Florida USA, has created our next project. Created for a card challenge blog, of which Charity is on the design team, the card uses WeR Memory Keepers’ GeoHectic papers and embellishments. Look at that rocket! Charity has jazzed up the card with sequins and glitter. Perfect for little would-be astronauts!

 

 

 

Last but not least, we have Amy Young to thank for this delightful creation, using one of the sweetest of the Vintage Blue papers with the birds and branches going down the side.  She’s paired this perfectly with a coloured in stamped image.  Thanks so much Amy for allowing us to showcase your work here.

product focus: felt trim

 

No patterned paper was really required here with Suz’s treatment of gorgeous felt fusion.  The lilac is Queen & Co., the black is a beautiful narrow Anna Griffin that’s been cut in half lengthways to give the tops of the photos a flat edge.  A title, a strategically placed We R Memory Keepers flower and a sprinkling of bling was all that was left to finish off this page, detailing how Suz’s daughter wanted her hair done for this year’s Crazy Hair Day at school.

 

 

Carole loves We R Memory Keeper's products, and the Lace trim is no except, just gorgeous and so easy to use. Carole stuck the "Nonsense" Blue Bird Flocked Lace straight onto the bottom of the layout, then she stuck the "Twirl" Lace Grow onto acetate and then layered it above the embellished houses she created from the Twirl Home pattern paper, it was so versatile and it looks wonderful.

Carole also used the "Twirl" Embossed stickers to highlight her journaling and photo, all the products coordinate so well together, which makes it all so easy to use.

countdown to christmas: we r memory keepers

Suz fell in love with the beautiful bright We R Memory Keepers perfectly named Chrsitmas range - “Merry & Bright” says it all really!  With beautiful pinks and oranges scattered through the traditional red and green colour palette, these papers are a joy to work with.  As with all the We R Memory Keepers White Out range, these papers are double sided and many of them have four scaled down 6x6” designs on the backs which are perfect for cardmaking.

Suz has layered and glittered the patterned papers, and with the help of the Layered Chipboard Tags from the same range, these cards practically made themselves.
