Technique Tuesday's Technique Tiles are the perfect chipboard embellishments for your scrapbook pages. They come in a range of sizes including 12x12" in cool and very versatile designs. You can use the chipboard shapes, and then use the negative leftovers for even more creating. But what we think the best thing about Technique Tuesday's chipboard is that it's already white - right through to the core. No more need for gesso-ing or painting and waiting for that to dry before applying the fun stuff. No more ignoring or inking ugly grey chipboard edges. The creamy white beauty of Technique Tuesday shines through - check out the close up on the butterfly in Carole Janson's stunning project below for example.
Carole loved the Technique Tuesday Fundamentals of Flowers 12 x 12 Tiles as anything to do with flowers is always great for Carole to use. She covered some of the tiles with pattern paper as well as glittered and even used a butterfly rub-on for the small butterfly. She left the outer scallop circle plain, which made the whole project come together and really stand out.
To create the dimensional flowers Carole simply used cut out flowers as well as the Technique Tuesday flowers adding foam tape in between each layered flower and finished off with a BasicGrey Euphoria Brad.
In creating this layout, Donna wanted to highlight the creativity and love of "making" of her 7 y.o. daughter. She began by lightly covering her selection from Technique Tuesday's Classic Tile Toppers with different shades of Luminarte's Daubers shimmery paints. She then layered other embellishments with the frame including dimensional stickers and a perfectly-sized Tinkering Ink felt finery circle.
By combining products in his way, the Tech Tues tile topper frame has effectively become the focus of the layout (other than the photos, of course!) and re-inforces the theme of the layout itself.
With one of the current trends being non square LO's,Technique Tuesday's FUNdamental rings make it easy to test the waters with round pages. Like a jigsaw puzzle each ring separates easily to be covered or painted as desired then when happy just slot them back together. Jaimie left the centre circles out of her LO and replaced them with a Hambly overlay to give added interest to the page. A small photo, die cut cluster and alpha sticker quote complete her page.
For this LO Jaimie decided to use the FUNdamental rings as frames to showcase her main photo and journaling. Jaimie pushed out all the small chipboard circles from one ring and backed it onto patterned paper so that the design showed through. She left the remaining FUNdamental rings 'raw' which fit with the colour palette of her page. Jaimie filled the main 'frame' with embellishments and then scattered the rest across the white space of her page bringing all together.
Combining both the FUNdamental rings and Tile Toppers Jaimie created this cute little frame to welcome spring! By trimming and shaping pieces of patterned paper over the bird topper Jaimie was able to give some dimension and personality to him. A quick and simple project for anyone.
For this layout Mel has used a variety of Technique Tuesday circles and arrows, covering them in patterned paper before adhering onto the page. To add extra dimension to the circle on the top right hand corner of her page, Mel has used some pop dots to raise a second circle, before adding clouds as an accent.
Suz used FUNdamentals of Water to make this cute layout of her kids and their cousin in the bath. The page tells the story about how her two older kids had to make having your hair washed look fun to convince their two year old cousin to have hers done. Suz inked, stamped and bling-ed her Technique Tiles to create a fun frame for her photos and story.
We R Memory Keepers Coppered Out Metal Alphas co-ordinate with the browns in her stamping and give the layout a grounded look.
Here Suz covered and layered several of the Technique Tile flourishes to make a simple and co-ordinating embellishment for her page. Once again she loves how the crisp white core of the Technique Tiles shines through.
And finally Suz created a couple of quick cards. As well as the 12x12" FUNdamentals range, Technique Tuesday has a range of 'Tile Toppers' - perfectly sized for cards and smaller projects. She has combined them with Tinkering Ink papers to make cheery greetings.
